We’re looking for a Backlink & SEO Specialist who combines technical SEO expertise with strategic link-building execution.
This role isn’t just about sending outreach emails — you’ll be responsible for growing Altss’s domain authority, organic visibility, and topic dominance across 150k+ public pages and 100+ blog posts.You’ll work directly with the founder to lead link-building strategy, manage outreach campaigns, and optimize on-page and technical SEO performance.
Responsibilities
SEO & Technical Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy (on-page, off-page, and technical).
- Audit site health, crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals, and schema optimization.
- Track rankings and keyword performance (Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush).
- Optimize internal linking and anchor strategy across thousands of entity pages.
- Recommend improvements for meta data, sitemaps, structured data, and page hierarchy.
Link-Building & Authority Growth
- Plan and execute white-hat backlink campaigns in SaaS, VC, and finance ecosystems.
- Research and prioritize backlink opportunities (guest posts, lists, interviews, citations, etc.).
- Personalize outreach and negotiate placements with editors, journalists, and partners.
- Maintain backlink tracking dashboards and report DR/ref-domain progress weekly.
- Identify high-trust domains and avoid low-quality or spammy placements.
Content & Collaboration
- Collaborate with content and growth teams to align keyword targets and anchor texts.
- Suggest blog topics that attract natural backlinks and topical authority.
- Support content optimization for Google and LLM indexing visibility.
Requirements
- 3+ years of combined experience in SEO + link building.
- Proven success increasing organic traffic and DR through quality backlinks.
- Expertise with Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and SurferSEO (or similar).
- Strong understanding of ranking factors, search intent, topical authority, and entity SEO.
- Excellent written English and ability to create persuasive outreach messages.
- Analytical mindset — comfortable interpreting SEO metrics, backlink data, and crawl reports.
- Self-organized and proactive — able to plan and execute with minimal oversight.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with SaaS, Fintech, or OSINT / data platforms.
- Understanding of LLM-first SEO or AI search optimization.
- Familiarity with Notion, Sanity CMS, or similar content systems.
- Prior success earning backlinks from high-authority sites (TechCrunch, Yahoo Finance, VentureBeat, etc.).
