Required skills:

• BSc in Computer Science or a similar technical field
• 5+ years of experience in backend development

• English level - Upper-Intermediate (B2)
• Strong expertise in Golang and understanding of concurrency (MUST).
• Experience with Ruby (for refactoring and understanding legacy systems).
• Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong knowledge of high volume Elasticsearch for scalable data storage
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and scalable backend systems.

Scope of work:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Team Leader with strong hands-on knowledge in Golang to build and lead a high-impact team of backend developers and a QA engineer. This team will play a crucial role in refactoring and performance optimization while also contributing to new product development. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Refactoring and Migration – Transitioning legacy Ruby code to Golang to enhance performance and maintainability.
• Scalability and Stability – Optimizing system architecture to support increasing demand.
• Data Pipeline Optimization – Improving event-driven processing for efficiency and reliability.
• New Product Development – Contributing to innovative features, such as a promotions application.
• Technical Alignment – Collaborating with architect and the core team leader to ensure alignment with our client's long-term technical vision.

- A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics or a  related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in analytical thinking. 

4+ years of professional experience in: 
- End-to-end machine learning lifecycle (design, development, deployment,  and monitoring). 
- Advanced Python development, including OOP, writing production-grade  code, testing, and optimization. 
- Data mining, statistical analysis, and effective data visualization  techniques. 
- Deep familiarity with modern ML/DL methods and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch,  XGBoost, scikit-learn, statsmodels). 
- Strong analytical skills combined with practical experience interpreting model  outputs to drive business decisions.

Nice-to-Haves:
- Practical knowledge of SQL and experience with large-scale data systems like  Hadoop or Spark. 
- Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (CI/CD, model monitoring, data version control). 
- Experience in reinforcement learning and Monte-Carlo methods. 
- A solid grasp of microeconomic principles, including supply and demand  dynamics, price elasticity, as well as econometrics. 
- Experience with cloud services and platforms, preferably AWS.

Scope of work:

As a Data Scientist, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and enhancing our AI-driven pricing platform.

Specifically, you will:
- Develop and Optimize Advanced ML Models: Build, improve, and deploy machine learning and statistical models for forecasting demand, analyzing price elasticities, and recommending optimal pricing strategies.
- Lead End-to-End Data Science Projects: Own your projects fully, from conceptualization and experimentation through production deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement.
- Innovate with Generative and Predictive AI Solutions: Leverage state-of-the-art generative and predictive modeling techniques to automate complex pricing scenarios and adapt to rapidly changing market dynamics.

Required skills:

• Strong technical background in Datacenter Operations / Systems Administration
• At least 4 years of working and administering Linux systems with deep system & networking understanding
• Experience working and administering physical servers remotely and using automation tools
• Knowledge of networking and internet technologies - e.g. HTTP/s, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, proxies, routing protocols, VLANs, etc.
• Vast experience working with and administering networking equipment - switches, routers, firewalls, etc (preferably Juniper appliances)

Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain & improve Cato’s ever-expanding global network of PoPs (Point-of-Presence) & data centers
• Respond to incidents in the relevant production systems, troubleshoot issues, handle RMAs, and replacement of equipment
• Create and improve the team processes and documentation
• Support & act as a focal point for all matters related to Cato’s PoP operations and other data center-related matters
