About the Project
Green field, built from scratch, case management platform designed to streamline coordination between social service agencies, supervisors, and case aides supporting families in need. Built to serve Child Welfare and related social service sectors, the platform enables supervisors to manage caseloads, assign tasks, track visit schedules, and monitor compliance - all in one place. Case aides use a companion portal to log visits, complete required forms, and communicate progress in real time. The goal is a production-grade, responsive, and secure multi-tenant SaaS application that replaces manual processes and brings modern tooling to a sector that critically needs it.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Full-Stack Engineer to lead the development of the platform. You will own both the frontend and backend, build out the full data model, implement real-time notifications, and ensure the app is secure, responsive, and ready to handle real agency workflows. Using AI coding tools is required - we expect you to ship fast and smart.
Main Responsibilities
Must Haves
- Full-Stack Mastery: Strong proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js; solid understanding of RESTful API design and backend architecture.
- Database: Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM tools (Prisma or similar); ability to design normalized schemas for multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- UI/UX Sensibility: Ability to implement clean, responsive interfaces with attention to usability; experience with Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first frameworks.
- Security Awareness: Understanding of authentication, authorization (RBAC), data isolation, and basic compliance practices relevant to sensitive data environments.
- AI Tools Proficiency: Active use of AI-assisted coding tools is a hard requirement - you should be comfortable integrating AI into your daily development workflow.
- Problem Solving: Self-directed and proactive; able to translate a prototype into a production system with minimal hand-holding.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication in English; comfortable working async in a remote-first environment.
Nice to haves
- Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.
- FedRamp experience: Experience with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program compliance and security requirements for web applications.
What we offer
- Competitive compensation based on your skills and experience.
- Flexible working hours and a remote-first culture built on trust and accountability.
- A supportive environment that encourages learning, experimentation, and professional growth.
