Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipeline.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security using DataDog.
• Collaborate with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to manage code releases.
• Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Automate and streamline operations and processes.
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
• Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Proficient in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipeline.
• Expertise in monitoring and performance management using DataDog.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Level of English: Upper-intermediate and higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
• Experience with other monitoring tools and logging frameworks.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.

Their platform helps organizations analyze real-world healthcare data to generate scientifically validated insights about the safety, effectiveness, and value of medical treatments, guiding critical decisions in product development, regulatory approval, reimbursement, and clinical strategy.

We are transitioning ownership of a highly sensitive, HIPAA and ISO27001–compliant AWS environment from a legacy operational model to centralized engineering standards. We are looking for a senior, autonomous infrastructure engineer to stabilize existing systems, work through legacy complexity, and lead critical migration efforts toward supported, standardized platforms.

Must-Have

Candidates must be able to demonstrate real, hands-on CLI experience in the following areas:

AWS Infrastructure
– Working via CLI with core AWS services
– Solid understanding of networking, storage, IAM, and common AWS components

Kubernetes
– Accessing, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters using CLI tools (kubectl, contexts, basic cluster operations)

Python
– Practical coding experience
– Ability to read, understand, and modify existing Python code (not scripting-only or theoretical knowledge)

Required Technologies & Skills
– Cloud: AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Transit Gateway, SSM, CloudWatch, Route53)
– IaC: Terraform (modules, state, providers), Packer

Job responsibilities

Infrastructure Stabilization & Migration
– Troubleshoot and repair Image Builder / Packer pipelines to ensure secure and reliable base image generation
– Manage patching for isolated Windows environments
– Execute final migration steps from OpenVPN to GlobalProtect, including troubleshooting edge cases involving WSL and DNS

Infrastructure as Code
– Manage, refactor, and modernize a complex Terraform codebase migrated from CloudFormation
– Improve state management, modularization, and long-term maintainability
– Safely import and standardize legacy resources

Platform & Environment Ownership
– Operate confidently in legacy systems with incomplete documentation
– Make technical decisions that prioritize security, stability, and delivery

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Core Team. In this role, you will be a key player in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring our systems are scalable, resilient, and automated. You will manage a hybrid environment consisting of AWS Cloud, Digital Ocean services and on-premises servers, leveraging modern GitOps workflows to streamline deployment in Microservices and Serverless architectures.

Key Responsibilities: 
● Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure across AWS and on-premises data centers. 
● Automation & IaC: Treat infrastructure as software by using Terraform or CloudFormation to automate resource provisioning and configuration. 
● Container Orchestration: Manage and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes, utilizing Rancher for multi-cluster management and visibility. 
● GitOps Delivery: Implement and maintain continuous delivery pipelines using ArgoCD to ensure the desired state of our clusters matches our Git repositories. 
● CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design and optimize automated build and deployment workflows using GitHub Actions. 
● System Administration: Manage and tune Linux (Ubuntu) environments for performance, security, and reliability. 
● Databases: manage database infrastructure, including replicas, backups, point-in-time recovery, monitor database performance and collaborate with developers to optimize queries and indexing strategies.

Required Qualifications: 

1. Cloud & Core Infrastructure 
● AWS Mastery: Proven experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, SQS, CloudWatch, RDS, VPC, IAM). 
● Hybrid Experience: Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting on-premises physical or virtualized servers. 
● Linux Expertise: Deep knowledge of Linux administration, with a strong preference for Ubuntu. 

2. Orchestration & Continuous Delivery
● Kubernetes & Rancher: Solid experience deploying and managing production-grade K8s clusters. 
● ArgoCD & GitOps: Experience implementing GitOps patterns for automated, declarative application deployments. 
● CI/CD: Proficiency with Git and GitHub Actions for automating testing and deployment cycles. 

3. Automation & Development 
● Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Advanced proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. 
● Programming: Strong Python scripting skills for task automation, custom tooling, and interacting with APIs. 

4. Modern Architecture 
● Architectural Patterns: Deep understanding of Microservices and Serverless (e.g., AWS Lambda) design principles. 

5. Databases 
● Relational DBs: Deep experience with PostgreSQL administration (vacuuming, indexing, replication, and backup strategies). 
● NoSQL & Cloud Native: Proficiency in AWS DynamoDB, understanding GSIs, LSIs, and TTL configurations.

Preferred/Bonus Qualifications: 
● Experience with Workflow Management platforms such as Apache Airflow. 
● Experience with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). 
● Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an agile, collaborative environment.
