    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Platform Engineer who is willing to transition into a team lead role to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Platform Engineering and has long experience in managing large infrastructures in AWS.  This role requires a deep understanding of modern DevOps tools and practices, as well as a commitment to fostering a responsive, communicative, and collaborative environment.
     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure services for 30+ development teams.
    • Develop and manage infrastructure as code.
    • Lead and manage the Ukrainian part of the team.
    • Implement and provide guidance on observability (InfluxDB, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).
    • Participate in on-call rotations.
    • Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure to support scalable and secure applications.
    • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth infrastructure operations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
    • Implement best practices for security, reliability, and performance.
    • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
    • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
       

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in a platform engineering or similar role.
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language
    • Leadership skills and the will to transition into a leadership role
    • Extensive experience with at least one Infrastructure as a Code provider
    • In-depth experience with AWS cloud services.
    • Excellent skills in Linux
    • Having worked with at least one Database product, preferably Mongodb or Elasticsearch
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
       

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • In Depth knowledge of networking and TCP/IP
    • Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Go or Java.
    • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
    • Strong experience in observability platforms like Promethus, Elastic APM, InfluxDB

    • Collaborate with development teams to enhance deployment strategies and DevOps practices
    • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools
