ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll work on the internal compute-platform web application of a US robotics / autonomous company — the system that runs safety simulations and large-scale compute workloads (training, batch inference, MapReduce-style jobs) across a cluster of roughly 50,000–100,000 nodes.

The app is the task-management UI where engineers submit and track jobs: job status and queue time, debugging, and understanding jobs modeled as DAGs (directed acyclic graphs) — which steps ran, which failed, what resources were consumed, why a job is slow, and how to optimize it (e.g. GPU utilization, switching between CPU/GPU nodes).

The application is ~10 years old; its first version was in Vue, and a React migration began ~18 months ago (the team is now building the next major version). The approach is incremental: a host shell with key pages implemented in React, iframing much of the older Vue app. Today it's ~90% frontend — a React app calling many existing services — and will grow its own dedicated Python backend over time, moving toward roughly two-thirds frontend / one-third backend in steady state.

This is a senior, autonomous role. Design/product support is limited to UI polish, so you'll exercise product judgment yourself — walking through user flows as a user, and asking clarifying questions when a ticket isn't well-defined.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and rework user interfaces in React; migrate the remaining Vue components to React and build new React components.
• Reuse the team's shared component library / in-house UI toolkit.
• Grow a lightweight Python backend — application-level joins, light workflow/processing, a DynamoDB store for things like user preferences — while the app continues to call many existing services.
• Visualize complex job/DAG data clearly: status, failures, resource usage, and performance.
• Talk to users, clarify ambiguous requirements, and ship features end to end.

MUST-HAVE

• Strong, hands-on React — modern hooks, component architecture, state management, performance.
• Solid Python for backend development.
• General database experience.
• A product mindset: questions whether a ticket is well-defined, pushes back constructively, drives clarity instead of waiting for prescriptive specs.
• Ability to operate at a senior level — autonomous, user-facing, proactive, comfortable owning features end to end.

About the Role:

As a Senior Backend-Oriented Fullstack developer you will own end-to-end delivery of new features and enhancements across back-end services, front-end interfaces and embedded agent processes. 
You will work in a cross-functional scrum team, collaborate with product and infrastructure, and guide architectural decisions for scalable APIs, microservices and UI components. 
You will integrate LLMs and AI-powered tooling into our development lifecycle and production workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain scalable back-end services and microservices using Node.js.

The founder previously built an AI coding platform to 2M+ users. You’d join as the founding engineer at the exact moment the category is forming.

What you’ll build

You’ll be the first engineering hire, working directly with the founder and owning large parts of the platform architecture. The system has two tightly connected halves:

1. AI access & governance infrastructure (the gateway)
    •    A multi-tenant AI gateway: an Anthropic/OpenAI-compatible API layer that popular AI tools (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, and others) are pinned to via managed endpoint configuration
    •    Identity binding: every request tied to a real employee identity via Microsoft Entra ID (OIDC/SAML federation), with per-tenant isolation across hundreds of end-client organizations
    •    Usage metering, pooled credit management, and per-tenant billing
    •    Audit logging, policy enforcement, and sensitive-data controls at the request layer
    •    An endpoint agent that deploys and pins tool configurations on managed devices and detects drift

2. Agent runtime & builder infrastructure
    •    A tenant-isolated runtime where AI agents execute with scoped, vaulted credentials and inherit the permissions of the employee or role they act for
    •    A managed MCP (Model Context Protocol) server registry: sanctioned connectors to business systems, scoped per tenant
    •    Agent observability: replayable execution logs, approval workflows for actions, blast-radius controls
    •    The builder layer on top: templates and an authoring flow that lets non-experts assemble agents that are safe by construction

This is real infrastructure work: multi-tenancy, identity, credential security, gateways, and billing, with an AI-native product on top.

What we’re looking for

Who you are
    •    5+ years of backend / platform engineering experience
    •    You’ve shipped something end to end. A side project, indie product, or work project where you personally took it from idea to production and real users: architecture, code, deployment, and operations
    •    Daily user of agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar), you build with them, understand how they call models and tools under the hood, and can reason about routing, configuration, and extending them
    •    Comfortable building and owning everything alone, you don’t need a team around you to be effective. You can take a problem from design through implementation, deployment, and operations solo, and stay productive without structure, standups, or someone else unblocking you
    •    Comfortable with deep product ambiguity: there is no incumbent to copy in this category. We’ll be designing the product and the architecture from first principles, choosing the stack, making design calls no one has made before, shipping fast, and owning outcomes end to end

Technical requirements
    •    Experience building or operating API gateways, proxies, or high-throughput request-routing services, hands-on with Nginx (or comparable reverse proxies), SSL/TLS (certificate management, termination, mutual TLS), and production traffic routing
    •    Strong in at least one of: Python, TypeScript, or Rust, and comfortable across 3–5 programming languages overall
    •    Production experience with a web framework (Django, Next.js, React, or similar)
    •    Solid database experience, production work with a relational database (PostgreSQL preferred, or MySQL/similar): schema design, query performance, and migrations on live systems
    •    Experience with vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, or similar), embeddings, similarity search, and retrieval pipelines
    •    Strong cloud computing experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure): networking, load balancing, container orchestration, and running production workloads - you’ve operated real systems, not just deployed demos
    •    Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI) and MCP (Model Context Protocol)

Nice to have
    •    Startup experience, you’ve worked at an early-stage company (or founded one) and know what shipping with a small team under real constraints feels like
    •    Experience building multi-tenant SaaS systems, tenant isolation as an architectural property
    •    Experience with auth and identity: OAuth2 / OIDC / SAML, especially Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) integration

Hiring process

About the Project: We are building a massive, proprietary Ticketing & Event Management Ecosystem for the US market. This is NOT a standard booking site. We are engineering a custom, high-load platform from scratch. The ecosystem includes:

• Complex Web Platform: Handling Reserved Seating schemes, Camping bookings, and deep Event Management logic.
• On-Site Operations: Gate Scanning functionality and Ticket Printer control. We develop the scanning logic and integrate it with physical hardware for printing.

• Mobile Ecosystem: A feature-rich mobile application for organizers and attendees.

   

We don't use "out-of-the-box" solutions. We build our own logic to handle heavy complexity. If you prefer solving technical puzzles rather than integrating standard plugins, this is your place.

⚠️ THE CULTURE (Read this first): We are a US-based startup in an aggressive growth phase. We are looking for a Founding Engineer mindset.

• Intensity: We work with the US market. Late evening calls (European time) are standard to sync with the founders.

We're building a prediction-markets and order-book trading platform where prices move in real time and real money changes hands on every trade. We're looking for a Full-Stack Developer to own features end-to-end, from the trading and market UIs to the APIs and services that price, match, and settle those trades. The front end is React + TypeScript. The back end is Node.js + NestJS. If you like problems where latency, correctness, and money all matter at the same time, this is that kind of product.

Work is split roughly evenly between front-end and back-end, and you'll spend it near the interesting parts of the system: live market feeds, order handling, and the trading experience itself.

About the role

No legacy, no bureaucracy, — just you and a small but incredibly strong engineering team making the right technical decisions together. A chance to go deep into fintech (card payments, compliance, settlement) and actually shape the product architecture.
 

Finance focus. This role is for our Finance direction: settlements, reconciliation, bank integrations, and integration with the core banking system. You'll go deep into the money flow — how funds move, settle, and reconcile across gateway, processor, schemes, and banks.
 

Fintech experience is essential. We need someone who already knows payments and fintech — this isn't a domain to pick up on the side. We expect proactivity and a readiness to take on and own the domain expertise: be the person the team relies on for settlement and reconciliation logic.

The Role
