We are looking for a Middle AI/ML Engineer to develop and enhance AI-driven solutions within the Palantir Foundry and AIP ecosystem.

In this role, you will focus on building and iterating on machine learning and LLM-based solutions, integrating them into Foundry workflows to support analytics, automation, and decision-making. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, business analysts, and domain experts to deliver practical, production-ready AI solutions.

About the Project
A B2B SaaS platform that helps hospitality businesses turn operational data into actionable insights and improve commercial performance.
The product is already used in a live production environment and handles significant volumes of data coming from multiple sources. Its data layer plays a central role in supporting analytics, reporting, and day-to-day business processes.

We are looking for a Middle DevOps Engineer to join our backend team behind one of the most powerful live-streaming platforms in the industry. You will keep our high-load infrastructure fast, reliable, and cost-efficient while working hand-in-hand with backend engineers on a system built to serve a massive global audience in real time. In this role, you will

• Keep our Kubernetes infrastructure smooth and self-healing, maintaining manifests that power a high-load, real-time product
• Fine-tune Karpenter so our nodes scale up and down exactly when they need to, no waste, no lag
• Build the alerting nervous system of our infra, piping critical issues straight to Slack before they become incidents
• Design Grafana dashboards that give the team a clear, real-time view of both tech health and product metrics
• Set up Firebase alerts for Cloud Functions to catch issues at the source
• Roll out Artifactory (e.g. JFrog) and unlock automated testing on CI, making releases faster and safer
• Own cost control and optimization, turning infrastructure spend into a metric you actively improve
• Connect the dots between Gitlab, Slack, and Approvals, and stand up a self-hosted Sentry to give the team full visibility into what's breaking and why

It’s all about you

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in production environments
• Solid experience with AWS services: EC2, ECR, EKS, S3, SQS, SNS, Route53
• Experience supporting a self-hosted Kafka cluster and building custom monitoring metrics
• Strong Terraform configuration skills
• Hands-on experience with K8s, Flux, Kustomize, Helm setup
• Experience with Gitlab pipelines
• Experience with infra monitoring and alerting tools
• Practical AI knowledge and active hands-on use of AI tools (e.g. Claude) in daily work

• Design, develop, and optimize automation for CI/CD pipelines (builds, quality checks, deployments, e2e testing, performance testing, etc), enabling faster and safer releases for R&D teams.

We're building a greenfield high-load media platform from scratch, allowing you to shape the architecture, choose the technology stack, and make key engineering decisions from the very beginning. This isn't about maintaining legacy systems—it's about designing and delivering scalable solutions that will evolve from PoC into production

You'll tackle complex engineering challenges around WebRTC, low-latency streaming, SFU/TURN infrastructure, and scaling the platform to 300,000 concurrent connections and 3M+ requests per second. As part of a small, highly skilled team, you'll have real ownership, fast decision-making, and the chance to build rare, highly valued expertise while making a visible impact on the product

In this role, you will

• Design and build the infrastructure for a greenfield streaming/WebRTC platform, ensuring scalability, low latency, and high availability
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies to support fast and reliable releases
• Manage cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters using Infrastructure as Code tools
• Implement autoscaling, performance optimization, and load testing to ensure the platform can handle high traffic and peak loads
• Build and improve the platform's observability by implementing monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting solutions

It’s all about you

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in production environments
• Experience designing and building high-load infrastructure from scratch
• Hands-on experience with streaming, WebRTC, or social/multimedia products
• Production experience with Kubernetes, including scaling, autoscaling, and troubleshooting
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Ansible
• Experience with AWS or GCP, including compute, networking, and managed services
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, along with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD and Helm
• Knowledge of observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, logging, and distributed tracing
• Strong networking fundamentals, including UDP, RTP/RTCP, low-latency networking, and TURN/STUN (coturn)
• Experience with load testing and performance optimization for high-traffic production systems

Would be a plus

• Experience with media servers, such as mediasoup, LiveKit, Janus, or Jitsi
• Experience optimizing bandwidth-heavy streaming platforms and improving infrastructure cost efficiency
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Go, or Bash

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management & Ownership: Take full ownership of the cloud infrastructure across AWS and DigitalOcean, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security;
• CI/CD Pipeline Design: Designing, building, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines optimized for PHP (Laravel) and JavaScript (Vue.js) applications;
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Maintaining and expanding the existing infrastructure using IaC tools to ensure reproducible and documented environments;
• Monitoring & Alerting: Setting up, optimizing, and monitoring application and server metrics; establishing proactive alerting systems to minimize downtime;

Requirements:

     Essential

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Route53, etc.) and DigitalOcean (Droplets, Spaces, Load Balancers);
• Proficient with CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions) specifically for deploying web applications;
• Deep understanding of Docker (writing optimized Dockerfiles, managing multi-container environments);
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration, web servers (Nginx, Apache), and process managers;
• Experience managing and scaling databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and caching layers (Redis, Memcached);

• Proficiency in Bash or Python for automation tasks.

   

  Desirable

• Experience with Terraform or Ansible;
• Basic or hands-on experience with Kubernetes (e.g., AWS EKS or DigitalOcean Kubernetes) in case of future migration;
• Understanding the lifecycle of Laravel app (queues, Horizon, Artisan) and Vue.js building/caching strategies (Vite/Webpack);
• Experience with ELK stack, OpenSearch, Graylog, or cloud-native logging.
• Experience with security, privacy, and compliance standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, ISO 27001, and GDPR, would be a plus.
