The Role: We need a Strong Middle engineer who is strong in automation but thinks like a Lead. You will build the test infrastructure from the ground up (or close to it) and maintain it.

• Current Tools: Playwright, Artillery (Load Testing).

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Automation experience (You must be a specialist, not a manual QA looking to learn automation).
• Tooling Mastery: Deep expertise in Playwright (TypeScript). Experience with Artillery or similar load-testing tools is a major plus.
• Language: Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript (You need to speak the same language as our developers).
• Strategic Vision: Ability to define what to test. You understand test pyramids, regression strategies, and risk assessment.

• Own the QA Strategy: Define the roadmap for quality. Decide what to automate, what to test manually, and where the risks are.
• Build & Maintain Infrastructure: Create a stable, reliable automation framework using Playwright.
• Load Testing: Use Artillery to ensure our system doesn't crash during high-traffic ticket drops.

The GlobalLogic technology team is focused on next generation Digital Health capabilities which deliver on the Medtronic mission and vision to deliver Insight Driven Care. This role will operate within the Digital Health Applications & Interoperability subgroup of the broader Digital Health team, focused on patient engagement, care coordination, AI, healthcare analytics & interoperability amongst other advanced technologies which enhance our product portfolio with new services, while improving clinical & patient experiences.

Requirements

– Technical Skills
– Proficiency in Python for test automation
– Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
– Test Automation Frameworks and Tools:
   – Pytest
   – Playwright
– AWS Platform: Hands on experience with AWS services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, etc…)
– Data Formats: Experience with JSON, XML and other relevant data formats
– CI/CD Tools: experience working with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools
– Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with monitoring & logging tools like CloudWatch, ELK, Dynatrace, Prometheus, etc…
– Source Code Management: Expertise with git commands and associated VCS (Gitlab, Github, Gitea or similar) 

NICE TO HAVE:

– Previous Healthcare or Medical Device experience
– Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (BDD, TDD, etc…)
– Experience working with Healthcare Data, including HL7v2, FHIR and DICOM
– FHIR and/or HL7 Certifications
– Building software classified as Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)
– Understanding of EHR technologies such as EPIC, Cerner, etc…
– Experience implementation enterprise grade cyber security & privacy by design into software products
– Experience working in Digital Health software
– Experience developing global applications
– Strong understanding of SDLC – Waterfall & Agile methodologies
– Software estimation
– Experience leading software development teams onshore and offshore

Job responsibilities

– Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tooling
– Collaborate with development teams to understand application features and architecture
– Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting compliance and security standards from a quality engineering perspective.
– Design, develop and execute automated test scripts for both front end applications as well as APIs / microservices
– Identify, document and track software defects
– Conduct performance testing
– Work across development and DevOps teams to integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipelines
– Actively identifies system functionality or performance deficiencies, executes changes to existing systems, and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
– May document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.
– Function Specific: Strategically design technology solutions that meets the needs and goals of the company and its customers/users.
– Leverages platform process expertise to assess if existing standard platform functionality will solve a business problem or customization solution would be required.
– Perform basic maintenance and performance optimization procedures in each delivery cycle
– Ability to document detailed technical system specifications based on business system requirements
– Ensures system implementation compliance with global & local regulatory and security standards (i.e. HIPAA, SOCII, ISO27001, etc…)

Our client is an innovative manufacturer of medical devices in the United States, producing devices and software applications.

In this project, you will have a great opportunity to be involved in the full development life cycle of medical software, which is designed to assist individuals by processing information from medical devices to identify health trends and track daily activities. In addition, there are opportunities to work with medical devices, in the scope of end-to-end testing.
