Role overview

We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join the team of our growing Dutch client and help ensure a reliable, high-quality user experience across their e-commerce products. This role is a great fit for a QA professional who enjoys exploring how products work, spotting details others might miss, and investigating issues beyond the obvious user flow.

Requirements
 

•  Ability to work from our Chernivtsi office
   
• Commercial experience in manual QA at a Strong Junior or Middle level.
• Proven experience in manual QA testing of SaaS web applications
• Structured and thorough: you document what you tested and what you found
• Curious by nature: you look for edge cases and corner cases, not just the happy path
• Familiar with Jira or a similar issue tracker
• Good communicator in English (our working language); Dutch is a bonus but not required
• Self-directed: our team is remote and async-first; you manage your own time and flag
• blockers early
• Experience testing e-commerce platforms (Shopware, Magento, Shopify) is a strong plus
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman or similar) is a plus
• Experience writing automated tests is nice-to-have, not a requirement

Nice to have

• Experience with API testing and a basic understanding of SQL.
• Experience testing AI features or working with AI agents, including evaluating AI-generated output, prompts, and different AI scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Test new features and bug fixes on staging before every release
• Write and maintain test cases in Jira (we use Jira for all issue tracking)
• Reproduce bugs reported by customers (via Freshdesk support) and verify that fixes actually resolve them
• Test integrations with external platforms: Shopware, Magento 2, Shopify, NextChapter, and others as we add them
• Test AI content generation workflows — prompts, outputs, edge cases, multi-language content
• Test the company's workflow builder (visual block editor for content automation rules)
• Verify attribute management, product catalogues, and bulk operations work correctly end-toend
• Regression test existing functionality after each sprint
• Flag UX issues, not just functional bugs — if something is confusing, that counts as a defect too
• Work with our customer support team to stay on top of real-world failure scenarios from customers
