About the company

Our client is a B2B SaaS platform operating at the intersection of data intelligence and LinkedIn advertising. The product is in active growth — the engineering team ships continuously, and feature velocity is high. The platform combines LinkedIn Ads optimization, website visitor identification, and revenue attribution in one decision layer — so marketers can see which companies engage with their ads, connect that activity to CRM data, and prove what actually drives deals.

The team is small and senior: a product manager, 3 backend engineers (PHP/Laravel), 1 frontend engineer (React), and 3 data engineers (Python, N8N), on AWS-managed infrastructure with Postgres and Clickhouse. The team works in sprints with sprint planning and retrospectives.

Why this role exists

Two gaps are holding the team back. First, the CTO is absorbing too much coordination overhead: breaking down requirements, running syncs, unblocking developers. Second, testing coverage hasn't kept pace with shipping speed — bugs that automated tests would have caught are slipping through to production.

This role is designed to close both gaps at once. The PM side frees up the CTO by owning task creation and team coordination. The QA side builds an automated testing layer from scratch, with AI tooling at its core. Neither half of this role is a full-time job on its own — together, they're exactly one.
 

What you'll own

Project management — primary focus

• Receive requirements from the CTO and convert them into detailed, developer-ready tasks and epics in ClickUp, following the company's established task framework
• Run sprint planning and retrospectives, keep the team unblocked, and handle routine coordination without escalating to the CTO
• Own documentation: maintain clear, up-to-date technical specs and requirement breakdowns
• Be the connective tissue between product intent and engineering execution — understand the business logic behind what's being built, not just the task list
• Track progress, flag risks early, and make sure work that gets decided actually gets finished
   

QA automation — secondary focus

• Build an automated QA framework from scratch — end-to-end, regression, and API testing; choose your own tools and programming language
• Triage and classify bugs by root cause (frontend vs. backend) before routing to developers
• Write test plans and document edge cases; build coverage that actually prevents regressions, not just documents them
   

Requirements

What we expect from an ideal candidate

• 3–5 years of total experience with at least 1.5 years in a project or product management role and at least 1.5 years in QA engineering
• At least 2 years of that experience must be at a product company
• Proven ability to break down product requirements into clear, structured technical tasks for a development team
• Experience running sprint planning and retrospectives, or working closely within that process
• Strong self-management and prioritization — able to hold multiple threads across PM and QA without dropping things or waiting to be told what's next
• Experience in QA engineering with a demonstrated shift toward automation — manual-only QA is not a fit for this role
• Solid understanding of regression testing and functional testing concepts
• Working knowledge of SQL sufficient to validate data at the database level (Postgres, Clickhouse a plus)
• Ability to distinguish frontend bugs from backend bugs quickly and describe them precisely
• You should be actively using AI tools to automate, build, and accelerate your own workflow
• English B1 or above — sufficient for written communication and technical documentation

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

- Manage project development from initiation to closure, within budget, timeline, and quality standards. This involves leading the product development team on the projects that typically last 2-3 years.

Team management:

- Manage a web development team of backend and frontend developers, a designer, and a QA engineer. Effectively plan and manage the allocation of team members’ time on projects.

Stakeholders management:

- Manage stakeholder communication throughout the lifecycle of website development projects.

Quality management:

- Ensure that the project’s deliverables meet the defined quality standards and stakeholders’ expectations.

- Experience/strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban.
Solid understanding of the SDLC.
- Strong knowledge of UX design and ability to guide design teams.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to help us support and scale several fintech and operational platforms for a long-term client.

These products handle critical business operations: payments, integrations, analytics, reporting, marketing workflows, internal tools, and other business infrastructure. They are not always visible to end users, but they are essential for the client’s daily operations.

Umber owns the full delivery cycle: analysis, development, QA, release, and ongoing improvements. As the number of projects grows, we need more PM capacity to keep delivery clear, structured, and moving.

We’re looking for someone who can bring order to moving parts, notice gaps, ask the right questions, follow up on blockers, and gradually take ownership of one or more delivery streams. You don’t need to be a developer. But you should be comfortable working close to technical context: APIs, integrations, statuses, edge cases, estimates, dependencies, blockers, and release risks.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate delivery across one or several active workstreams, depending on current priorities.
• Turn unclear client or internal requests into structured tasks: context, open questions, dependencies, owners, and next steps.
• Keep ClickUp / Kanban clear and up to date: statuses, priorities, blockers, owners, and next actions.
• Follow up on blockers before they become delivery risks.
• Prepare clear internal and client-facing updates: status, risks, dependencies, and next steps.
• Stay close to the CTO, developers, and QA team to understand what is blocked, what is ready, and what may affect release timing.
• Support integrations, releases, technical clarifications, and lightweight documentation where needed.
• Help improve simple delivery processes: task flow, status updates, backlog clarity, handovers, and team communication.

Who you are

• Project Manager with 2+ years of hands-on experience in software delivery.
• You have worked with software products, technical teams, integrations, fintech, SaaS, internal platforms, or similar contexts.
• You write clear and structured English. Most client and partner communication will be written.
• You understand how software delivery works: requirements, task breakdown, dependencies, estimates, testing, releases, blockers, and risks.
• You are comfortable with technical context. You don’t need to code, but you can read documentation, ask clarifying questions, and understand why a technical detail may affect delivery.
• You know how to keep a task tracker alive: statuses, priorities, owners, blockers, open questions, and next steps.
• You don’t wait for perfect input. If context is missing, you clarify, structure, and move things forward.
• You are structured and detail-oriented, but practical. We need order, not bureaucracy.

• You are comfortable in a small team where processes are still evolving and roles can overlap.

   

About the projects

We’re currently looking for PM support across several client projects, and we may hire more than one specialist for different delivery streams.

The main areas where support is needed now:

• payment aggregation and local payment provider integrations;
• internal CRM-like tools for marketing operations, budgets, reporting, and campaign performance;
• web-to-app flows and PWA-related services;

• internal operational tools for analytics, reporting, and business workflows.

   

The exact project focus will depend on current priorities, your experience, and where we see the strongest match.

In all cases, the work is close to real delivery: requirements, task tracking, releases, dependencies, technical clarifications, client/provider communication, and ongoing improvements.
