Our client has an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer who is looking to join a team following the DevOps practice and is committed to working on cutting-edge technology and having fun while doing it.

You will maintain business-critical systems that track hundreds of millions of dollars of media spend per year supporting some of the world’s largest online brands. You would join a tight-knit development team and work alongside other developers and product managers to solve complex and interesting technical problems.

Requirements

– Hands-on experience with GCP (3 years), especially:
  # Google Cloud Run.
  # Google Cloud SQL (with PostgreSQL).
  # Basic knowledge using GCP monitoring, logging, and IAM.
– Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
– Knowledge of deploying Node.js/Express backends and React/Next.js frontends to Google Cloud Run.
– Solid understanding of Docker in the context of Node.js-based apps and Google Cloud Run.
– Experience in safely managing cloud-based configurations, including:
  # Environment variables.
  # Secrets management.
  # SSL certificates and DNS settings (when using App Engine).
  # Bonus: Usage of Vault to store / retrieve settings and secrets.
– Familiarity with scripting and automation (e.g. shell scripts, configuration files).
– Understanding of application and infrastructure security best practices.
– Basic DBA knowledge (e.g. backups, performance monitoring in PostgreSQL).
– Intermediate+ English is required.

Job responsibilities

– Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure to ensure consistent, scalable, and repeatable cloud environments across GCP.
– Develop robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate application build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring fast and reliable delivery of software updates.
– Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Datadog to ensure high system visibility, rapid issue resolution, and proactive performance management.
– Partner with product owners, engineers, and cross-functional teams to align DevOps strategies with business objectives, ensuring seamless integration of workflows.
– Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot deployment and environment issues.
– Be proactive, focus on automation and process improvement.
– Work in the changing environment using Lean methodologies.
– Participation in daily meetings with customer and team, that consists both from GL people and customer people. Keep communication at a high level.

Job Description

Preferred 3+ years’ experience in software engineering, design, implementation and support
● Deep automation experience – build, test, deployment automation, post release surveillance and
monitoring.
● Must have hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, EKS, RDS, OpenSearch, CloudFront,
Route53, S3, etc.
● Must have hands-on experience with AWS security and networking: VPCs, Security Groups, IAM,
role management, VPC peering, Transit Gateway, etc.
● Must have hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production
● Must have hands-on experience with a CI/CD system – Gitlab, Jenkins, Github Actions, Bitbucket
pipelines, etc.
● Must have experience writing Infrastructure as Code in Terraform
● Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions like Datadog, ELK, or Splunk
● Experience in high-level languages: Python, Javascript, VCL, bash, etc.
● Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application performance, connectivity, and security
issues
● Demonstrate strong knowledge of engineering cloud based solutions that are fault tolerant and highly
performant, in support of business critical applications

Job Responsibilities

Identify and implement automation strategies in the SDLC process that enables high quality and fast
delivery of new solutions to our business users.
● Participate in vendor software evaluations and integration strategies.
● Champion our CI/CD agile practices across all of the development teams.
● Create and maintain functional / technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy project
requirements.
● Develop infrastructure as code to meet the needs of our platforms.
● Provide 24/7 on-call rotational support of applications and infrastructure to users including issue
resolution.
● Monitor system and application performance and troubleshoot/ resolve escalated issues.
● Be part of a high-performing Agile / Continuous Integration engineering practice.
● Continually seek ways to optimize and improve all operational aspects of our technical solutions.

Department/Project Description

We are looking for an innovative, results-oriented, and passionate Platform Engineer. You will be working
with a team of like-minded engineers to design, develop and implement cutting-edge consumer desktop,
web, and mobile applications. We are building an infrastructure platform, and the Platform Engineering team
is responsible for designing and writing Infrastructure-as-Code and nurturing a DevOps culture by providing
tools and training for development teams. This role will be key in building cloud-based, fault tolerant, highly
available, high performing applications that provide a seamless experience to our development teams and
our end users.
