The company is one of the regional leaders in the industry and is currently launching their new product, an international platform for ticket sales. The company's annual income exceeds 100 million euros.

The client uses various tools to reach their customers, such as a mobile app, a responsive web application, or communicating with them directly through the call center. The system is very complex, it must comply with a large number of regulations. We provide APIs for different clients including the biggest Global Distribution Systems (GDSes).

Our client is committed to ensuring that the system will be as modern as possible. It is based on microservice architecture with the use of continuous integration, where a few hundred components operate independently of each other and can be used as they become available. This increases the modularity of the system and optimizes the use of the services. All components run on AWS.

Team

Several independent teams are working on the project. The goals of each team are limited to the part of the system they're working on. DataArt's specialists are working on the back-end in one of the teams.

Position overview

DataArt is currently helping to modernize and develop the IT system of an independent online retailer of railroad tickets.

Responsibilities

• Refactoring and expanding tickets selling system
• Develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality, scalable code
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of new features and achieve their objectives

We are looking for an experienced Lead/Senior .NET Engineer to join a long-term modernization initiative focused on transforming a large-scale enterprise platform from .NET Framework 4.8 to .NET 10. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work on modernizing backend architecture, migrating legacy components, improving code quality, and preparing the platform for cloud-native deployment on AWS. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers in an Agile environment while helping shape the future architecture of a mission-critical system.

Responsibilities: 

• Drive the migration of a large enterprise application from .NET Framework 4.8 to .NET 10.
• Modernize backend services and replace legacy Windows-specific dependencies with cross-platform solutions.
• Migrate a large Entity Framework 6 data model to EF Core 8, one bounded context at a time.
• Refactor legacy code following modern architecture principles and best engineering practices.
• Improve automated testing by introducing unit test coverage and quality gates.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers on containerization, Docker configuration, and AWS deployment.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical planning, and Agile ceremonies.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial experience with C#/.NET backend development.
• Strong expertise with ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, and modern .NET.
• Proven commercial experience migrating applications from .NET Framework to .NET Core / .NET 8+.
• Strong experience with Entity Framework Core.
• Good understanding of DDD, CQRS, and layered architecture.
• Experience building containerized applications using Docker.
• Solid knowledge of xUnit, Moq, and automated testing practices.
• Experience deploying .NET applications to AWS ECS/Fargate and working with ECR.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, MassTransit, or similar messaging technologies.
• Experience with Hangfire or other background job processing frameworks.
• Strong Git workflow and experience working in Agile teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Angular applications or micro-frontend architecture.
• Experience implementing automated code coverage in CI.
• Knowledge of performance optimization and scalable distributed systems.

• Розробка та підтримка проєктів на актуальному стеку C# 10/14 (.NET 9/10)
• Аналіз, підтримка та вдосконалення існуючої архітектури (Onion, Clean, CQRS)
• Робота над повним циклом продукту: від Front-end (Blazor) до Back-end та бази даних
• Проєктування RESTful API та робота з документацією (Swagger, Markdown)
• Написання та оптимізація складних SQL-запитів, тригерів та збережених процедур
• Покриття коду Unit та Integration тестами
• Активна участь у командних процесах: Code Review, парне програмування, SCRUM-мітинги

Основні вимоги

• 3+ роки комерційної розробки (C# ASP.NET Core (Fullstack)
• Глибоке знання .NET 9/10 та принципів OOP, OOD, SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI
• Досвід роботи з Blazor, HTML5, CSS3 та фреймворками Bootstrap або Tailwind CSS
• Впевнене володіння PostgreSQL (EF Core), розуміння індексації, нормалізації та рівнів ізоляції ACID
• Розуміння архітектурних підходів: Clean Architecture, N-Layer, CQRS та Event-driven розробки
• Досвід роботи з брокерами повідомлень (Kafka) та розуміння принципів Pub/Sub
• Навички роботи з Redis (кешування, TTL, серіалізація)
• Досвід роботи з ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Kibana) та Grafana для логування і моніторингу
• Вміння писати тести за допомогою NUnit, Moq, dotCover та розуміння TDD
• Розуміння Docker, Docker Compose та основ CI/CD пайплайнів (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI або Azure Pipelines)
• Проактивність, бажання самостійно вирішувати питання та швидко опановувати нові технології
