Requirements

• 7–8+ years of full-stack development experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
• Solid experience with React and SCSS
• Experience with GraphQL, and MongoDB
• Experience with gRPC, Kafka, AWS
• Nice to have experience with Ruby
• Knowledge of feature flagging tools like LaunchDarkly
• Ability to contribute in both monoliths and microservice environments
• Skilled at balancing speed, scope, and maintainability in large systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Fluent in English
   

Job responsibilities

• Maintain and improve legacy code that is still critical to the business
• Help identify, scope, and migrate legacy features to current stacks
• Design and implement React + Node.js microservices in alignment with the platform architecture
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers to refine requirements and propose efficient solutions
• Ensure code quality through thoughtful practices, including unit testing, peer reviews, and documentation
• Proactively identify ways to reduce complexity or improve performance across the system
• Document technical decisions and approaches clearly for future maintainers
• Guide and support other developers who interact with legacy systems
• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint demos, and team discussions with a focus on pragmatic outcomes

  Your responsibilities:

• Solid experience with React (advanced hooks, state management using Redux or Context API, reusable component architecture)
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript (emphasis on maintainable, strictly typed codebase)
• Basic experience with Next.js (App Router, Middleware, API routes, SSR, Static Generation)
• Practical knowledge of Tailwind CSS (responsive, utility-first design system)
• Hands-on experience with Node.js / Nest.js (modular structure, REST API design, async patterns)
• Basic understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORMs (e.g. Prisma, Drizzle)
• Familiarity with authentication methods (JWT, OAuth)
• Basic understanding of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and deployment practices
• Experience working with deployment environments (Vercel, Render, Docker, etc)

👀 Nice to have:

• Interest in GenAI: understanding LLM APIs, basic prompt engineering
• Experience with frontend techniques like virtualisation, service workers, push notifications
• Experience with backend practices like microservices, GraphQL, gRPC
• Familiarity with UI libraries built on Tailwind CSS (e.g., shadcn/ui, DaisyUI, etc)
