We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science practice and work directly with customers on complex AI and Machine Learning projects on AWS.

This is not a traditional analytics or research-focused Data Science role. You’ll work across classical ML, fine-tuning, GenAI, multimodal systems, and production ML on AWS, helping customers decide which technical approach actually fits their problem.

You’ll own projects end-to-end: understand the customer’s domain and data, evaluate different solution paths, define the architecture, implement the critical parts, and guide delivery through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Data Science projects end-to-end: Take customer problems from technical discovery through data analysis, solution design, experimentation, implementation, deployment, and production validation.

• Use SageMaker in production: Work with SageMaker Studio, training jobs, endpoints, pipelines, model registry, batch inference, monitoring, and other production ML capabilities.
• Design production-ready solutions: Make architecture decisions across quality, latency, cost, scalability, maintainability, observability, and operational complexity.
• Work directly with customers: Participate in technical discovery, workshops, architecture discussions, and delivery conversations with founders, CTOs, engineering teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Challenge technical assumptions: Help customers avoid unnecessary complexity, explain trade-offs, costs and recommend simpler or more effective approaches when appropriate.
• Lead through technical ownership: Independently own projects with minimal supervision and mentor less experienced Data Scientists and engineers when needed.

• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with AI Engineers, MLOps, Data Engineering, DevOps, and Solution Architecture teams on customer solutions that cross multiple technical domains.

   

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Applied Science, or a closely related role.
• Strong classical Machine Learning fundamentals and hands-on experience building production ML solutions.
• Deep practical experience working with data, including data preparation, validation, feature engineering, dataset construction, and model evaluation.
• Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
• Strong practical experience with AWS SageMaker beyond notebook-level usage, including model training, deployment, inference, pipelines, or production operations.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock and modern Generative AI approaches.
• Practical experience with fine-tuning models and understanding when fine-tuning is preferable to prompting, RAG, or other approaches.

Ready-made assets, not a blank slate:

• Content farm of 500 accounts (operating cost ~$14,500/month) — generates reach, but the link to paying customers hasn't been measured
• UGC network with a Telegram bot and CRM — 46% utilization, unit economics need fixing
• Team of 13 people across three units (Content Engine, Marketing & Sales, UGC Network)
• Paid acquisition budget of $50K/month from day one, expanding to $150K once LTV/CAC ≥ 3 — no approvals needed

No restrictions on methods. Multi-accounting, arbitrage, affiliates, aggressive funnels — all fair game if it brings paying customers and doesn't create legal risk.

Uncapped revenue share: 6% of recurring revenue from the customer base you bring in (8% at LTV/CAC ≥ 4). No ceiling. At $250K MRR, your variable comp is $20K/month on top of base.

Equity option: 1–2% in the holding company (across the whole product portfolio, not a single project).

Career path: CMO → CRO within 12–18 months. The role is designed as a track toward running the studio's entire revenue engine.

What's expected of you

First 90 days (by December 31, 2026)

• Build end-to-end analytics: click → signup → trial → payment, across all products. Currently none exists.
• Launch a paid channel and hit a repeatable CAC below the $138 ceiling within 3 weeks, at ≥100 paying customers/month
• Calculate the real CPA of the content farm and decide: scale it or shut it down
• Make personnel decisions on all 13 team members. We don't expect you to keep the current team as-is.

By month 6 (by March 31, 2027)

• $60K MRR minimum, $100K MRR target
• LTV/CAC ≥ 3 across the portfolio
• ≥40% of paying customers from owned channels (not paid ads)

• At least 2 channels scaled

Base: $7,000 → $8,500 (after 90 days) → $10,000 (at $150K studio MRR)

Variable: 6% of recurring revenue from clients you acquire, paid monthly for as long as they pay. 8% at LTV/CAC ≥ 4. Contract deals: 3%. No cap.

Our client a dedicated modernization track, not a feature squad. We're rebuilding a large EV-charging back-office portal from a legacy stack onto React 18 + TypeScript, and we want it done fast. You take a legacy screen and own the whole path to its replacement: reverse-engineering what the old flow actually does, designing and building the BFF endpoint behind it, and shipping the new page.
The Team
Small and lean – a couple of developers on the same migration, plus QA. Minimal process, minimal handoffs. There is no PM writing you specs for the screens you replace: the legacy system is the spec, and you're expected to read it

Key Requirements:

What you're walking into:
🔹 Two portals live side by side. New pages are feature-flag gated and embedded next to legacy screens in iframes; navigation, state and deep links cross that boundary via postMessage. Coexistence, not a clean rewrite;
🔹 The legacy system is the requirements doc. 10+ years of accumulated behaviour, largely undocumented, partly dead code. Distinguishing intended behaviour from accident is the daily job;
🔹 A monolith at the other end of your BFF. Its own conventions – failure bodies returned with HTTP 200, inconsistent payload shapes, queries older than the framework you're wrapping them in;
🔹 Multi-tenant and permission-dense. Every page, tab and dropdown is gated per service provider and per role. An empty filter is usually a 403, not a rendering bug;
🔹 Real scale in the data layer. Large grids, virtualized infinite selects, look-ahead pagination, async exports. Render performance is a design constraint, not a polish pass;
🔹 Parity with the screen you replace. Operators live in these pages all day; a dropped seconds field in a timestamp comes back as a bug report;
🔹 Debt in the new repo too. Pre-existing type errors, lint noise, half-migrated patterns. Leave things better; don't declare bankruptcy;
