    About the role:

    We are looking for a C#/.NET Developer to build and extend our Automate product. The product is a part of the 3Shape ecosystem and provides users with automatic design proposals for various dental products. The core value of the team is to provide high-quality designs in a fast and reliable manner. As a team, we are responsible for all aspects of our product, whether it would be user interface, backend, algorithms, or infrastructure. We maintain a friendly, balanced work environment that prioritizes mutual respect and individual growth. We value proactive thinking and encourage team members to drive positive changes.

    As the majority of teams at 3Shape, the team utilizes the Agile methodology as its primary approach to software development.

     

     

    Areas of responsibility:

    • Develop and maintain backend components of the Automate product using C#/.NET.
    • Work with algorithms, 3D meshes, and geometric computations to enhance automatic design generation.
    • Participate in the full development cycle: design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
    • Collaborate with distributed teams in Copenhagen and Kyiv.
    • Ensure code quality through unit tests and best engineering practices.
    • Contribute to product stability, performance, and continuous improvement.

     

     

    To succeed in your role, you should possess the following skills and competencies:

    • 5+ years of software development experience
    • Strong knowledge of C#/.NET
    • Solid foundation in mathematics, particularly: linear algebra, optimization, and geometric computations
    • Experience in algorithm development, 3D meshes
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • A degree in Computer Science or Engineering
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills, and good at written and spoken English
    • Excited about cross-site work: Your team is in Copenhagen and Kyiv, and our partners are around the globe

     

    Would be a plus:

    • Experience with developing/training AI models
    • Experience in reviewing scientific documentation, patents, and research studies
    • Basic knowledge of Python

    THE ROLE

    This is a hybrid DevOps/Backend Engineering role involving cloud engineering, backend systems, and infrastructure migration. You’ll work with systems originating from different environments, requiring cloud expertise, backend understanding, and fast learning.

    You will evaluate, plan, and migrate backend systems from various cloud and hosting providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, custom setups, and more) into our infrastructure. By leveraging AI tools and automation, you will significantly accelerate migrations and modernization efforts.

    This role suits someone who enjoys solving complex puzzles, exploring unknown systems, and working independently in a remote environment. Your work will directly support the scale and efficiency of Rounds’ operations.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Architect, evolve, and oversee backend infrastructure transformations.
    • Assess complexity, outline risks, and estimate effort and timelines.
    • Rebuild or refactor backend components when needed, including rewriting services (with AI assistance).
    • Utilize AI tools and agents to speed up research, refactoring, documentation, and investigations.
    • Design and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
    • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines.

     

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    Must-have:

    • 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Backend Engineering.
    • Hands-on experience with GCP or strong AWS/Azure background and willingness to transition.
    • Practical experience with Terraform (or similar IaC).
    • Strong Linux, networking, and cloud fundamentals.
    • Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
    • Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Node.js, Go, Java, etc.).
    • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.

     

    Nice-to-have:

    • Experience with Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
    • Experience with reverse-engineering unknown systems or digging through legacy setups.
    • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or GCP Monitoring.
    • Background in refactoring, rewriting, or modernizing backend services.

    About the role:

    Unite Cloud is a cloud-native platform, fully built, deployed, and operated in Microsoft Azure.
    Cloud is not an extension of the system - it is the core and only runtime environment for all services.
    From a technical perspective, the project uses ASP.NET Core with microservices architecture on the backend, Angular with Material UI on the front end, and Azure with GitHub Actions for CI/CD and deployment.
    The project is under active development, and you will continuously work on new functionality and improvements. At 3Shape, software development is carried out by self-organizing agile teams using Scrum as the primary development methodology.

     

     

    Areas of responsibility:

    • Develop and maintain backend services using .NET
    • Ensure high code quality through code reviews, refactoring, and adherence to best practices
    • Design and integrate RESTful APIs between the frontend and backend
    • Operate, debug, and maintain cloud-based systems running in Azure
    • Work with Azure as the primary and only runtime environment
    • Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code solutions (we use Pulumi)
    • Implement and evolve frontend functionality using Angular
    • Improve system maintainability by designing and implementing automated tests
    • Participate in CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using GitHub Actions
    • Collaborate closely with team members across locations and disciplines

     

     

    Your profile:

    • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
    • 4+ years of professional software development experience
    • Solid experience with .NET / ASP.NET Core
    • Hands-on experience with frontend development (Angular or similar SPA frameworks)
    • Experience building and maintaining microservice-based systems
    • Experience working in cloud-native environments
    • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
    • Understanding of domain-driven design and event-driven architecture
    • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
