HighCraft is looking for an Application Security Engineer to assess a healthcare platform for practitioners and patients.

This is an ongoing remote, part-time contract, starting with a security assessment estimated at 40–60 hours. You will then provide security reviews and support as new features and integrations are developed.

What you will do

• Perform manual security assessments of web applications and APIs.
• Identify and validate vulnerabilities in authentication, access controls, business logic and data handling.
• Review security-sensitive changes and third-party integrations.
• Document findings with clear evidence, reproduction steps and practical remediation guidance.
• Work with developers to resolve security issues and retest fixes.

What we are looking for

• Hands-on experience independently testing authenticated web applications and APIs.
• Practical understanding of OWASP web and API security, authentication, authorization and multi-tenant applications.

We are looking for a Risk & Fraud Lead who will lead, manage, and develop our Risk & Fraud team, strengthen our risk framework - both at the operational and enterprise level- and contribute to the brand's successful development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the Risk & Fraud team, overseeing the full employee lifecycle from hiring and onboarding to setting KPIs, performance reviews, and coaching.
• Organize shift schedules and workload distribution to ensure consistent real-time operational coverage.
• Oversee real-time transaction monitoring and act as the ultimate escalation point to review and approve decisions on complex cases and high-risk accounts.
• Lead complex investigations into bonus abuse, fraud networks, and anomalous behavior using advanced techniques (device fingerprinting, IP/geo-location analysis).
• Oversee the end-to-end customer verification process, encompassing standard KYC (ID, proof of address, source of funds) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
• Own and optimize fraud prevention rules and risk engine settings to balance acceptance rates with fraud prevention.
• Manage end-to-end dispute and chargeback processes, collaborating closely with PSPs on fraud alerts and suspicious transactions.
• Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and prepare comprehensive risk reports for senior management, highlighting trends, emerging threats, and mitigations.
• Ensure all risk investigations are accurately documented, tracked (e.g., in Jira), and effectively communicated across internal departments.
• Contribute to the group’s overarching risk governance by helping define risk appetite, tolerance levels, and building scalable policies and escalation frameworks.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, and senior leadership to ensure risk controls comply with jurisdictional regulations and assess risk exposure for new market/product launches.
• Support planning for major incidents (large-scale fraud events, data breaches, regulatory inquiries) and help shape the group's response protocols.
   

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Risk, Fraud Prevention, Payments, or a similar role (iGaming industry required)
• 2+ year of experience in a team lead, senior specialist, or supervisory role
• Strong understanding of fraud schemes, risk indicators, and suspicious activity patterns
• Experience with transaction monitoring and fraud detection tools, including rule/engine configuration
• Knowledge of KYC, AML, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Experience reviewing accounts, transactions, and documents to detect potential fraud
• Familiarity with payment methods, including cards, e-wallets, and online payment systems
• Proven people-management and team-leadership skills
• Ability to think beyond day-to-day fraud operations - understanding of enterprise or group-level risk considerations (financial, regulatory, reputational) is a strong plus
