• Work with artists on asset integration and workflow efficiency.
• Create new techniques and procedures to improve game asset quality.
• Help improve and refine shader, texture, and lighting quality.
• Identify and fix pipeline issues.
• Analyze and improve art asset inefficiencies to optimize performance.
• Write documentation about art tools and workflows.
• Act as a liaison between the Engineering and the Art departments.
• Assist with solving daily production challenges.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• 3+ years of deep in-production experience with Unreal Engine.
• Experience in project optimization using Unreal profiling tools and render settings.
• Strong knowledge of UE shader creation and rendering pipeline for creating complex materials.
• Production experience in Lumen and Nanite, understanding the optimization approaches.
• 2+ years Scripting experience in Python
• Working knowledge of Houdini

PLUSES:

• Complex shader creation outside of node based systems (i.e. HLSL)
• Solid math knowledge
• Programming experience in C++
• Perforce experience

Requirements:
 

• At least 1 year of proven experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in test documentation design (test plans, bug reports, etc.)
• Understanding of the software development life cycle and experience working with different methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of a team
