Join a Company That Invests in You

Seeking Alpha is the world's leading community of engaged investors. We’re the go-to destination for investors looking for actionable stock market opinions, real-time market analysis, and unique financial insights. At the same time, we’re also dedicated to creating a workplace where our team thrives. We’re passionate about fostering a flexible, balanced environment with remote work options and an array of perks that make a real difference.

    What We're Looking For

Do you look at websites and think about how they might be personalized? Do you use websites and apps and think about how their features have been designed to be best for a lot of different users? Do you read articles with statistics and think about how they may be misinterpreting the data to get their results? If these things describe you, and if you’re great at SQL and have experience analyzing website data, you’re someone we want to talk to.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst with experience analyzing website data. Our data analyst team analyzes everything on our website, not only for their immediate use but also for how they connect to high-level company KPIs. The role requires understanding web development and how data is gathered, analysis of site usage and a/b tests, data visualization, and how different kinds of data can be presented most clearly, and business KPIs and how they are measured.

But more than that, we’re looking for experienced analysts who can bring us new ideas about how to analyze and extract insights from website data. Our ideal candidates have measured KPIs that we haven’t measured or used new ways to explain user retention, or analyzed features of users' data that we haven’t analyzed.

The best thing about our work is that we’re part of an incredibly data-driven company. Everyone from the CEO down uses data every day. The data teams are involved in every single thing the company does.

    What You'll Do

    • Analyzing the behavior of users on our site and apps:

-Build and maintain dashboards that visualize the usage of single or multiple features and how that usage drives company KPIs.

-Answer questions about site usage or user behavior based on deeper analyses.

    • Analyze and track high-level KPIs such as conversion, retention, churn, recurring revenue, engagement, cross-device usage, e-mail and notification usage, and more.
    • Communicate with business stakeholders on analysis results, how they relate to business, and what business suggestions result from the analysis.
    • Run the whole data flow for site and app features, from defining KPIs, specifying data collection for development team implementation, and building and maintaining iterative versions of dashboards with both low-level and high-level views of collected data.
    • Split tests of product features:

-Design a test with clear success criteria

    -Monitor test integrity

    -Analyze results and give recommendations

-Use segmentation and clear cohort analysis to validate significant conclusions

-Conduct exploratory analysis to identify trends and opportunities

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 years in a B2C website-related Data Analyst position
    • Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex and efficient analytical queries
    • Demonstrated experience with working in English directly with business stakeholders, understanding their needs, and explaining results
    • Understanding of website development and operations and how they connect to data gathered.
    • Experience with data visualization tools (Looker/Tableau/PowerBI, etc.)
    • Experience with report writing and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data modeling

Here, your growth matters. We prioritize your development through ongoing learning and career advancement opportunities, helping you reach new milestones. Join Seeking Alpha to be part of a company that values your unique journey, supports your success, and champions both your personal well-being and professional goals.

    About the Role

As a Senior Manager, Analytics at JustAnswer, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team that helps millions of people get expert answers from doctors, lawyers, mechanics, and moreβ€”powered by data, experimentation, and AI. Our Analytics team is at the heart of this mission, building insights and frameworks that guide smarter decisions, fuel innovation, and transform how people connect with expertise.

In this role, you’ll lead a team of talented analysts who work across multiple strategic initiativesβ€”from funnel optimization and customer quality to AI-driven experimentation. You’ll shape how we collect, interpret, and act on data across the business, developing both the technical infrastructure and the analytical culture that enable JustAnswer to move faster and think smarter.

This is a role for someone who loves data and people in equal measureβ€”someone excited to roll up their sleeves with SQL and Python one moment, and coach their team or present insights to executives the next. You’ll bring a balance of strategic vision, hands-on technical skill, and mentorship to help your teamβ€”and the companyβ€”reach the next level of data maturity.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead & Grow a High-Impact Team: Manage and develop a team of analysts (approx. 6), helping them level up their skills, expand their impact, and grow in their careers.
    • Be a Strategic Partner: Collaborate with leaders across the business to shape experiments, define success metrics, and translate data into action.
    • Stay Hands-On: Dive deep into data when needed β€” writing SQL queries, Python scripts, and building Power BI dashboards. Lead by example and set the standard for analytical excellence.
    • Champion AI & Innovation: Leverage AI tools and APIs (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) to automate insights, explore unstructured data, and modernize the way we do analytics.
    • Share the Story: Lead analytics reviews and present findings to cross-functional and executive audiences β€” turning data into clear, compelling narratives.
    • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Data and Engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, experimentation design, and analytics scalability.

    What We’re Looking For

    • 5–10 years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related field (We’re open to exceptional candidates with slightly less experience who demonstrate strong leadership and deep AI/experimentation expertise.)
    • Strong technical skills: SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)
    • Proven experience designing and analyzing experiments (A/B testing, Bayesian, or multi-armed bandit approaches)
    • Experience working with APIs and modern AI tools
    • Demonstrated success as a people leader β€” coaching, mentoring, and developing analysts
    • Excellent communication and storytelling skills β€” able to explain complex data clearly to any audience
    • A growth mindset and a passion for applying AI in analytics

What to Expect in Your First 90 Days

    • First 30 days: Learn our data, tools, and people. Understand how analytics drives our initiatives.
    • By 60 days: Shape team development plans, clarify goals, and start leading key deliverables.
    • By 90 days: Deliver your first analytics business review and showcase insights to leadership.
