We're looking for a part-time strategy analyst to support live client engagements. You'll work with our technical team that builds an AI platform for strategic simulations and scenario modeling.
 

Right now the focus is on Ukrainian clients. That's your entry point. We work with companies in energy, oil and gas, commodities, chemicals, manufacturing and retail. Over time we'll connect you to global projects: corporate development, M&A, strategic planning for international clients.
 

Your job is to validate AI simulation outputs, build financial models, analyze what data is available on the client side and in the market, and turn raw platform results into materials that executives use to make decisions.

1/ Validate AI simulation results against real market data and financials. You're the reality check between the AI and the client

On behalf of our Client, a well-established financial institution from the Caribbean region Mobilunity is looking for an IT Business Analyst. 

Our Client is the largest bank in the Caribbean region that serves 14 countries/territories. The aim is to make this organization from a traditional bank into a new era of fintech, working on the edge of what current fintech may offer.

The IT Business Analyst (BA) plays a critical role in aligning technical solutions with business needs. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements and translating them into clear, actionable inputs for engineering and product teams. The IT Business Analyst works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure clear communication, shared understanding, and successful delivery of business-driven IT solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and define detailed business requirements through workshops, interviews, and meetings.
• Analyze and refine requirements to ensure feasibility, clarity, and alignment with business priorities.
• Prioritize requirements based on business value and complexity.
• Produce clear and concise requirement documentation using established tools and templates.
• Document current-state and future-state business processes.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
• Translate business requirements into actionable tasks for engineering teams and support them by providing clarifications and answering questions.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure delivered solutions meet documented requirements.
• Monitor project progress to ensure requirements are delivered as expected.
• Communicate requirement changes and project updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Collect feedback on delivered features and incorporate insights into future requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in business processes.

Requirements:
 

• 5+ years of experience working as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of technologies or platforms relevant to the team.
• Experience in the banking or financial sector.
• Professional certification such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (PMI Professional in Business Analysis).

Requirements:

Education & Experience
— Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
— At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst (e.g. fintech, insurance, web3, crypto)
— Proven track record in delivering end-to-end IT projects in Agile environments

— Understanding of financial market fundamentals:

• Trading instruments (spot, futures, options)Order types (market, limit, and their variations)
• Trade lifecycle

• Structure of trading data (trades, tickers, order book)
  
  Hard Skills:
  — Strong expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation
  — Mastery of requirements elicitation, analysis, and validation techniques.
  — Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and diagramming software
  — Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban).
  — Ability to create process models, workflows, wireframes, and use case diagrams.
  — Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and databases (SQL basics).
   

  Soft Skills:
  — Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills applied to business challenges.
  — Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

— Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT team, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and priorities
— Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements (BRD, SRS, use cases, acceptance criteria)
— Translate complex business needs into functional and non-functional specifications
— Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with stakeholders
— Model and optimize business processes (BPMN, UML, flowcharts)
— Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and QA to ensure requirements are correctly implemented
— Support backlog management, sprint planning, and prioritization
— Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies, proposing mitigation strategies

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to solve business problems and identify product, market, and customer trends and opportunities;
• Act as a data owner for a wide scope of metrics and reporting layers — from core data logging to end-user data visualizations;
• Maintain, optimize, and expand key dashboards, reports, and metrics to support operational and strategic decision-making;
• Collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define, track, and maintain core business KPIs;
• Lead complex deep-dive analyses and provide actionable insights that shape product strategy and business growth.
• Mentor and guide a Junior BI Specialist within the team, providing technical direction, support, and feedback on tasks and development goals.

Required skills

• Strong analytical mindset and ability to structure ambiguous problems using data;
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large data sets;
• Experience with BI tools (Domo, Power BI, Tableau, or similar);
• Familiarity with mobile/web analytics platforms (e.g., Appsflyer, Firebase, Amplitude);
