The Product Analyst is a core member of the Product Design team, responsible for translating business needs, and system requirements into clearly defined design and technical execution documentation. This role is responsible for defining the logic, behavior, and detailed UI functionality of the app. Depending on the feature complexity, the Analyst either takes the lead in clarifying requirements from scratch or ensures the user interface aligns perfectly with backend technical specifications provided by System Analysts.

• UI Functional Documentation: Create and maintain the "Source of Truth" (UI Design Documents) that describes the interface logic—defining button behaviors, state changes, and branching logic.
• Data-to-UI Mapping: For features with backend integrations, document how data points from API responses map to specific UI elements, including handling different data types and validation states.
• Edge Case Identification: Proactively identify and document missing states (loading, empty, error, or success) and "what-if" scenarios that visual designs or technical flows may not explicitly detail.
• Label & Message Standardization: Maintain high UI standards by ensuring total consistency and clarity of software UI elements, including system messages and error notifications that align with both the user experience and technical requirements.
• Collaborative Logic Mapping: Partner with Product Designers to ensure the intended user flow is intuitive and with System Analysts (when involved) to ensure the UI supports the required technical sequence.
• Design QA & Functional Verification: Act as a functional QA to verify that final builds and UI samples align perfectly with both the documented UI logic and the original requirements/specifications.
• Knowledge Transfer: Provide clarifications and walkthroughs of documented designs to management, engineering, and QA teams to minimize development friction and community cycles.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience & Education: 3-6 years of experience in Product Analysis, Business Analysis, or Technical Writing in a software environment. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Technical Interpretation: Proven ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation, including API specifications, JSON structures, and system architecture flows provided by System Analysts.

Our data analyst team analyzes everything on our website, not only for their immediate use but also for how they connect to high-level company KPIs. Our Analysts analyze raw data, not only pre-aggregated data, to extract just the right information and diagnose what is happening on our site.

The role requires understanding web development and how data is gathered, analysis of site usage and a/b tests, data visualization, and how different kinds of data can be presented most clearly, and business KPIs and how they are measured.

But more than that, we’re looking for experienced analysts who can bring us new ideas about how to analyze and extract insights from website data. Our ideal candidates have measured KPIs that we haven’t measured or used new ways to explain user retention, or analyzed features of users' data that we haven’t analyzed.

What You'll Do

• Analyzing the behavior of users on our site and apps:

-Build and maintain dashboards that visualize the usage of single or multiple features and how that usage drives company KPIs.

-Answer questions about site usage or user behavior based on deeper analyses.

• Analyze and track high-level KPIs such as conversion, retention, churn, recurring revenue, engagement, cross-device usage, e-mail and notification usage, and more.
• Communicate with business stakeholders on analysis results, how they relate to business, and what business suggestions result from the analysis.
• Run the whole data flow for site and app features, from defining KPIs, specifying data collection for development team implementation, and building and maintaining iterative versions of dashboards with both low-level and high-level views of collected data.
• Split tests of product features:

-Design a test with clear success criteria

-Monitor test integrity

-Analyze results and give recommendations

-Use segmentation and clear cohort analysis to validate significant conclusions

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in a B2C website-related Data Analyst position
• Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex and efficient analytical queries
• Demonstrated experience with working in English directly with business stakeholders, understanding their needs, and explaining results
• Understanding of website development and operations and how they connect to data gathered.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Looker/Tableau/PowerBI, etc.)
