We are looking for a Strong Junior / Middle Ruby on Rails Developer to join a client project focused on a CRM system for law firms, covering client management, cases, finances, and analytics. The system includes a significant amount of legacy code, with ongoing improvements, refactoring, and feature development.

There is also an opportunity to contribute to other projects based on workload and team needs.
 

Required skills, experience, and knowledge

• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience working with and maintaining legacy systems
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL
• Understanding of REST APIs
• Experience with RSpec (testing basics)
• Basic experience with frontend (jQuery / React or similar)
• Understanding of OOP, SOLID, DRY, KISS principles
• Experience working in a team environment
• Upper-intermediate or higher English level

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Work with and gradually improve legacy codebase
• Implement new features and support existing functionality
• Write clean, maintainable code following team standards
• Participate in code reviews and testing (RSpec)
• Collaborate with the team and client on ongoing tasks and releases
• Contribute to planning and estimation within the team

Responsibilities:

• Develop new product features
• Fix bugs as they arise
• Ensure Merge Requests improve test coverage by adding new unit tests
• Document explanation of developed features/fixes to Merge Requests and to corresponding tickets
• Documenting completed tickets for internal and external users
• Contribute high-quality code to the backend and frontend projects

Requirements:

• 6+ years developing software in a commercial environment
• 4+ years of Ruby Development
• Experience with Ruby frameworks and libraries
• Experience with frontend frameworks (React)
• Experience in building REST API, ideally using Grape
• Experience in building integrations with third-party APIs via REST, SOAP, XMLRPC, etc.
• Solid experience in building high-performance, reliable, and scalable services

Backend Developer (Ruby on Rails, APIs) - Mid-Level

We’re hiring a mid-level Backend Developer (Ruby on Rails) to join our on-site (preferred) team in Kyiv. You’ll work on U.S.based products, building and scaling API-driven backend services, and collaborating closely with experienced engineers and product teams.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails
• Implement business logic, authentication, and third-party integrations
