We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Team Lead QA Engineer to spearhead our Manual QA team.
 

Your Role:

As the Team Lead QA Engineer at NuxGame, you will be responsible for leading our Manual QA team, strategizing resource allocation, setting priorities, and optimizing both team and project processes. Your leadership will ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage the Manual QA team, promoting best practices in QA methodologies.
• Develop and implement advanced training programs for QA methodologies and tools specific to NuxGame's operational needs.
• Engage in strategic planning and execution of test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage of all features and functionalities.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation in testing strategies and processes.
• Lead by example in adopting new technologies and methodologies that enhance product quality and team efficiency.
• Act as a key liaison between the QA team and other departments, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across projects.
• Enhance the QA team's capabilities in test automation, including API and Web Front-End testing, to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Design and monitor key performance indicators for the QA process, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  
   

What We Expect:

• Over 4 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with significant exposure to web application testing.
• A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, with proven skills in team management and process optimization.
• Advanced knowledge in teaching and overseeing training processes for various testing sub-types and NuxGame’s toolset.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.

Desirable Skills:

• Expertise in test automation, preferably with experience in API or Web Front-End testing.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JS, or TS.

• Experience with Docker and CI tools like Jenkins.

Project Description:
Join a team developing a leading software solution in the Energy domain, supporting the entire Oil & Gas production lifecycle — from geological exploration to optimizing drilling and well operations.
Our technology enables geologists, geophysicists, and drilling engineers to efficiently research, visualize, and interpret large volumes of geological data.
You will be part of a senior, collaborative team focused on high-quality delivery and long-term innovation in the upstream sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support in the drilling and completions area to the DWP team.
• Perform objective assessments of product quality and contribute as an active Software Tester.
• Develop detailed test cases and scenarios based on test objectives and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in sprint planning and story estimation, ensuring testing aspects are covered.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to define and validate key end-user workflows.
• Maintain and configure test environments.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing according to requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure changes do not affect associated functionalities.

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geophysics, Geology, or Chemical Engineering (GPA 7.5+).
• Strong understanding of upstream Oil & Gas applications (Landmark EDT preferred).
• Knowledge of drilling and well engineering concepts, including:
  • Well construction, drilling techniques, fluids property management
  • Well control, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring
  • Completion design and well performance analysis
• Experience with engineering tools such as WellCat, WellPlan, Compass is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• QA experience (manual or automation) — ideally in Oil & Gas upstream applications.
• Familiarity with SDLC/STLC and various testing types (Smoke, Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT, Performance).
• Experience with test management tools (Azure DevOps/TFS, JIRA).
• API and web application testing experience.
• Basic understanding of automation frameworks and tools.
• Cloud knowledge (Azure / AWS) and performance testing experience.
• ISTQB Foundation certification (optional).

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support in drilling and completions area to DWP team.

Provide an objective assessment of Product Quality

Contribute as an active Software Tester on the Team to deliver product stories

Develop Test Cases based on Test Objectives and Acceptance Criteria

Write comprehensive Test Cases to verify Product functionality

Contribute during Sprint Planning to ensure all Testing concerns are discussed and accommodated in the story sizing

Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define key End User Workflows

Define, create and maintain Test environments

Validate Functionality according to Requirements/Stories

Verify Development changes have no undesired effect on other, associated areas of Functionality

Identify, communicate and document Bugs in a consistent fashion

Track Bugs through resolution and implementation

Verify Bugs are resolved according to Bug Definition

Skills

Must have

· Bachelor or Master Degree from a recognized university in petroleum, Geophysics, Geology or chemical engineering with minimum GPA 7.5 and above

· Good understanding of upstream applications. (Preferred: EDT Applications)

· Knowledge of one or more of the basic wells engineering concepts including:

Well construction – drilling techniques, well control, fluids property management, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring

Well completions – completion designs, well performance analysis,

· Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, Wellplan, Compass will be an advantage.

· Comfortable with Agile methodologies

· Excellent Communication Skills

Nice to have

Experience with web applications test automation, API testing, Performance testing, Azure\AWS cloud services

QA experience (Experience with Oil and Gas Upstream applications preferred)

Experience with SDLC/STLC processes and complete understanding of various testing types viz Smoke, Functional, Integration, Performance, Regression and User Acceptance Testing etc.

ISTQB foundation level certified (Optional)

Well versed with Test Case creation, Defect and Test Management tool (Azure DevOps/TFS, JIRA)

Basic understanding of Framework creation using any of the Automation tool.

 — Experience in discovering showstopper defects and find reproduction steps to crashes
 — Solid exploratory testing skills and knowledge to apply the right level of testing for some specific features

— Experience with Figma, Browserstack, Chrome DevTools, Swagger, Postman
 — Experience with test management tools (e.g. TestRail or others)
 — Experience with bug tracking system (JIRA or other)
 — Experience with Agile development framework

Responsibilities
 

• Conduct functional testing of Web and Mobile application, including both GUI and API tests
• Design/maintain and execute test cases/checklists
• Report defects and working with the team to resolve them 
• Provide defects root cause analysis
• Actively collaborating with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to strengthen our team – a curious, self-driven specialist who loves getting to the root of things, isn’t afraid to take ownership, and is ready to grow in a professional environment. We need someone who genuinely cares about how the product works, enjoys writing test documentation, and actively uses AI tools in their daily work.

You will be working on our internal company products: a time and financial tracking system, and a product information management platform. Your skills:

• At least 0.5 years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer;
• Attention to detail and the ability to explore all aspects of product interaction;
• Basic knowledge of QA methodologies and the ability to create clear test documentation (test cases, checklists, bug reports);
• Experience with API testing using Postman;
• Ability to read technical logs in DevTools (console, network, application tabs);
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management – you’ll be working across multiple projects simultaneously;
• Experience with Google Docs / Google Sheets for documentation and tracking;

• Experience using AI tools in testing processes (e.g. generating test cases, analyzing requirements, automating routine QA tasks).

   

Would be a plus:

• English B2+ for reading technical documentation and working with international clients;
• Basic command-line skills in Linux and experience with Git;

• Experience setting up local environments using Docker or similar tools.

   

Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining up-to-date test documentation (checklists, test cases, bug reports);
• Performing functional, regression, and cross-platform testing to ensure product stability;
• Engaging in requirement analysis and clarifying them together with the team;
• Conducting smoke testing before deployment to demo and production environments;

• Proactively asking questions, identifying gaps, and proposing improvements to product quality.
