This position is with a US-based software company providing custom development and AI implementation for North American clients. The team builds and maintains production software, including AI-enabled systems, and works in long-term client engagements. Team members operate as part of an internal, distributed team and collaborate directly with client stakeholders.
 

About the role

This is an internal role focused on outreach, partnerships, and placements that improve rankings and bring relevant referral traffic. This is not a client facing role.
 

What you will do

• You will build and execute a link acquisition plan for priority service pages, state pages, case studies, and thought leadership content
• You will find and qualify websites for outreach, focusing on relevance, quality, and real traffic
• You will run outreach campaigns to secure placements through guest posts, editor mentions, partnerships, resource pages, and digital PR angles
• You will coordinate with our writers and designers to create assets that earn links, like research posts, comparisons, templates, and tools
• You will manage our local and industry citations where relevant, and keep listings consistent
• You will monitor backlinks, anchors, and competitors, and provide weekly updates on what is working
• You will protect the domain by avoiding risky tactics and keeping everything aligned with Google guidelines
   

Requirements

• Proven link building experience with examples of placements you secured
• Strong prospecting and outreach skills, including personalized email and relationship building
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals, including topical relevance, anchors, and avoiding harmful patterns
• Comfort using tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, or similar, and Google Search Console
• Ability to work systematically and track everything in a spreadsheet or CRM style pipeline
   

Nice to have

• Experience with B2B services, SaaS, or software agencies
• Experience with digital PR pitches and creating link worthy content angles
• Experience supporting state localized SEO pages and local SEO citations
