We are a newly funded MilTech startup building an on-premises platform for automated annotation of petabytes of UAV video and training computer vision models for autonomous flight. We have a strategic partnership with the largest Ukrainian UAV manufacturer and access to what is the largest privately owned UAV video dataset in the world. We are at the very beginning — the technical plan exists, the funding is secured, the data is real — and now we need the right people to turn it into reality.

The Role

We are looking for a Middle CV/ML Engineer to join as one of the first engineers on the team. You will work closely with the technical lead to build the ML pipeline from the ground up — implementing core components across data processing, model training, and deployment.

This is an early-stage startup, so the tech stack and processes are still being shaped. You will have real input into the tools and approaches we adopt, and your work will directly define how the platform operates. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, curious, and comfortable building things that don't exist yet.

What You Will Work On

Data Pipeline & Preprocessing
- Build video preprocessing pipelines: clip segmentation, frame extraction, scene detection, quality filtering
- Implement embedding extraction and data curation workflows for selecting diverse training subsets from a massive video corpus
- Prepare and export datasets in standard formats for training and annotation

Model Training & Experimentation
- Train and evaluate computer vision models for object detection, classification, tracking, and segmentation
- Run experiments, track results, and iterate on model architectures and hyperparameters
- Implement data augmentation strategies for robustness across weather, lighting, and occlusion conditions
- Contribute to distributed multi-GPU training pipelines

Active Learning & Annotation Support
- Implement auto-labeling pipelines with confidence-based routing
- Build tooling around the annotation platform (pre-annotation, format conversion, quality validation)
- Maintain automated quality checks for label consistency

Edge Deployment
- Export and optimize models for inference on NVIDIA Jetson (ONNX, TensorRT, FP16/INT8 quantization)

What We Are Looking For

Must Have
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision and deep learning
- Solid PyTorch skills — comfortable writing training loops, custom datasets, and model code
- Experience with at least one detection or segmentation framework (YOLO family, Detectron2, MMDetection, or similar)
- Understanding of model evaluation metrics (mAP, IoU, precision/recall)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend software in C++.
• Implement robust, scalable, and efficient system components for real-time operation.
• Partner with diverse, cross-disciplinary teams across the HUB to transform innovative ideas into impactful outcomes.
• Integrate and test various internal and external APIs.
• Participate in architecture design, technical decision-making, and system integration.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and resource usage for mission-critical environments.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Debug, profile, and maintain complex production systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing C++.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including OOP, memory management, and multithreading.
• Experience developing and maintaining complex backend or system-level software.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Experience working with version control and development tools (Git, Jira, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and learn quickly.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience working with ROS2.
• Familiarity with DDS-based communication protocols.
• Background in robotics, autonomous systems, or real-time distributed systems.
• Experience with performance or mission critical software.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.

BRDO розробляє та впроваджує державні цифрові сервіси і політики, що змінюють ключові сфери життя в Україні. 
 

AI у наших проєктах використовується для:

• профілювання та сегментації користувачів державних сервісів;
• персоналізованих рекомендацій (сервіси, послуги, програми підтримки, навчальні можливості тощо);
• генерації індивідуальних маршрутизованих сценаріїв/траєкторій взаємодії з державою;
• оцінки релевантності, навичок, досвіду або відповідності критеріям програм;
• аналітики, прогнозування та виявлення трендів у відповідних секторах.
   

Основні задачі:

• Розробка AI-пайплайнів і сервісів для описаних вище процесів.
• Моделювання та обробка навичок/кваліфікацій або інших структурованих даних за європейськими класифікаторами (наприклад, ESCO чи аналогічними).
• Побудова системи моніторингу, метрик і feedback-loop для моделей.
• Розробка датасетів та бенчмарків для AI-модулів державних платформ.
• Тісна співпраця з продуктовими командами, бізнес-аналітиками та архітекторами.
   

Вимоги:

• 3+ років досвіду у ML / NLP / GenAI.
• Практична робота з LLM (включно з fine-tuning, prompting, pipeline-building).
• Python, PyTorch або TensorFlow.
• Досвід роботи з клауд провайдерами (Google Cloud, AWS).
• Розуміння inference-оптимізації (quantization, batching, streaming).
• Досвід роботи з пайплайнами та фреймворками оркестрації (LangChain, LangGraph, n8n).
• Вміння будувати метрики, аналізувати якість моделей та проводити A/B-тести.
• Аналітичні навички та ініціативність.

Буде перевагою:

• Досвід з відкритими мовними моделями: Qwen, Gemma, Mistral, Phi тощо.
• Робота у доменах метчингу, рекомендаційних систем, HR-tech.
• Досвід побудови моделей для класифікації навичок/професій або робота з ESCO.

Попит на вироби компанії на фронті стабільно високий і ростиме, тому шукаємо Computer Vision Engineer, що переверне поле бою з ніг на голову за допомогою дуже перспективної технології.

Основні обов’язки:

• Розробка, оптимізація і впровадження алгоритмів детекції і трекінгу (visual odometry, optical flow, feature tracking).
• Створення та покращення алгоритмів VO / ViO та SLAM на основі даних з камери та інших сенсорів встановлених на БПЛА.
• Підбір, калібрування і налаштування камери та інших сенсорів.
• Інтеграція CV-модулів на носії та їх налаштування.
• Тестування алгоритмів у симуляторі та на реальних носіях.
   

Вимоги до кандидата:

• Володіння мовами програмування C++ або Python для імплементації задач комп’ютерного зору.
• Знання та розуміння класичних алгоритмів комп’ютерного зору, досвід роботи з OpenCV.
• Досвід роботи з візуальною одометрією та SLAM.
• Глибоке розуміння статистичних та математичних концепцій, пов’язаних з машинним, глибинним навчанням для задач CV..
• Глибоке розуміння лінійної алгебри, статистики, 3D геометрії.
   

Додатковими перевагами будуть:

• Досвід калібрування різних камер, досвід калібрування Camera-IMU.
