Our solutions primarily operate on embedded systems, allowing us to collaborate closely with hardware vendors to maximize performance and introduce cutting-edge features. With a strong focus on innovation, the Video Streaming team develops efficient, low-latency, high-quality solutions tailored to support various platforms and operating systems, including Linux and RTOS.

We are seeking a skilled C++ Video Streaming Engineer to join our team and contribute to projects in the smart home security and IoT domains. You will be responsible for developing a low-latency video streaming solution that enables reliable bidirectional communication and conferencing across various network conditions.

Expanding our Video Streaming team, we are looking for a professional with strong development skills who is passionate about video streaming technologies and adept at tackling technical challenges.
 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop code in C/C++ for embedded Linux/RTOS applications, services, and drivers related to video streaming
• Design and implement complex streaming solutions for smart home security and IoT devices
• Follow Agile processes, including new feature development, product support, implementation of tests, writing technical documentation, and performing code and architecture reviews.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages C and C++ (11)
• Extensive practical knowledge of one or more of the common streaming/control protocols — RTP/RTCP, RTSP, SDP, WebRTC
• Basic understanding of video and audio encoding technologies
• Deep understanding of network programming, VoIP and Video over IP
• Practical experience with media frameworks such as GStreamer, FFMpeg, WebRTC, LibAV, or any other
• Experience in developing scalable distributed systems
• Experience in network troubleshooting
• Experience in UNIX-like OS environment
• Understanding of Software Development Process. Including the Software Design process
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues and identify root causes
• At least Intermediate level in both written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with multiple media codecs, including H.264 and H.265
• Experience with programming languages such as Golang and Python.

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong technical expertise, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

This role involves working on complex networking systems and low-level software for network devices. While the project is based on SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud), prior experience with SONiC is considered a strong advantage rather than a strict requirement. Candidates without SONiC experience should be open and willing to learn and work with it.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in system-level development, networking fundamentals, and hands-on experience in both software development and testing.

Key Responsibilities & Expertise:

• Develop and maintain software for networking devices using C/C++ and Python
• Work on system-level components including Linux kernel modules and drivers (FPGA, CPLD)
• Participate in SW/HW bring-up and integration of networking platforms
• Develop automated data path tests using Python/Pytest
• Work with hardware interfaces and buses such as I2C and PCIe
• Use tools such as Jenkins, Scapy, and traffic generators/analyzers for testing and validation
• Collaborate using Git/GitHub within modern development workflows

Nice to have:

• Experience with SONiC Networking OS, including porting and integration on Broadcom-based platforms (Tomahawk, StrataXGS)
• Experience with SAI (Switch Abstraction Interface) for Broadcom ASICs

Networking Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of switching and routing concepts
• Solid experience with L2/L3 protocols
• Hands-on experience with link aggregation and LACP
• Familiarity with dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, RIP, and IS-IS

The client may require occasional visits to their office (lab) in Wroclaw, so the candidate should be comfortable with traveling there from time to time.

The FX Pricing team in Wroclaw, within a global Investment Bank Technology organization. We work in an agile environment, building and maintaining microservices for the FX Price Distribution stack and beyond.

Mandatory Skills Description:

- Strong C++ server-side development skills targeting Linux platforms, including expertise in multi-threaded programming.
- Experience in containerization: Cloud/Azure, Docker, and DevOps practices, migrating C++ apps as container apps.
- Ability to work independently, apply best coding practices, and improve legacy codebases.
- Experience in a banking domain

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

We are looking for an experienced software engineer with strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working on complex systems based on SONIC networking OS. Candidates with a strong background in both software development and QA engineering are encouraged to apply for this role. Below are the key technical requirements for the role: 

Technical Requirements: 

1. Networking Experience: 

• Experience with SONIC Networking OS 
• Experience with Broadcom Switch ASIC’s such as Tomahawk (1-5) or other StrataXGS 
• Experience with porting SONIC to Broadcom Switch ASIC’s based systems 
• Experience with SAI for Broadcom Switch ASIC 
• Experience with FW/SW development for networking devices using C/C++ 
• Experience with Linux Kernel modules/drivers’ development, particularly for FPGA, CPLD’s 
• Experience with SW development using Python 
• Experience with various peripherals and peripheral buses, like I2C, PCI-E, etc. 
• Experience with data path automated tests development for network devices, using Python/Pytest. 
• Experience with SW/HW bringup/integration of networking devices. 
• Solid understanding of the differences between routing and forwarding, as well as switches and routers. 
• Proficiency in L2/L3 protocols. 

1. Advanced Network Skills:
