Senior Research Scientist (offline)

Competera uses Big Data and Deep Learning to change the way retailers do pricing. We are known for both cutting-edge math 'under the hood' and for deep expertise in the pricing domain. We are now looking for a Senior Research Scientist to change the way we make new features come true and price the world.

What you will do:
Keep abreast of SotA results (deep learning for tabular, time-series, graph-based, textual / image data, optimization techniques, explainability etc.), applicable to pricing optimization domain
Test, prototype and adapt these results "from scratch", guide the R&D team with non-obvious implementation details
Sharpen existing DL solutions, propose your own enhancement ideas

Starter-kit needed to join the board:
MSc or PhD in mathematics: "heavy" math understanding
Deep Learning familiarity: theoretical knowledge & 2+ years of practical experience
Ability to reproduce scientific papers "from scratch"
High proficiency in Tensorflow and/or PyTorch prototyping

Pleasant extra (the more you know, the better):
PhD in Computer science or related field
Bayesian inference + Bayesian Deep Learning
Graph theory, graph embeddings/convolutions
Experience with deep learning for time-series, tabular data
Proven scientific writing and/or conference speaking experience;
(publications within the top sources like NIPS, ICML, ACL, CVPR rocks!)
ML engineering skills
Causal inference
