Data Engineer (offline)

Your Role 

● To design, develop, deploy, evolve, and operate latency and through-put  optimized system architectures. 
● To work on huge scale data sets within the Hadoop ecosystem 
● To improve risk models for inhouse traders and customers by providing stable  and most reliant overviews of data through elastic search, Kibana, Grafana 
● Troubleshoot challenging technical problems driving innovation across the  business 
● To build up a highly available and reliable system to tap into data sources used  by high frequency hedge funds 
● To handle multiple incoming data streams and make the data available for its  different purposes in research, analytics, live usage etc. 
● To actively collaborate with other engineers, product owners, domain experts and  designers to deliver great outcomes 
● To be an integral part of an empowered and self-organizing team 
● To pair with others and review work, sharing knowledge and increasing quality  across the board 
 
Your Profile 

● You have gained already professional experience as a Data Engineer 
● You can build and debug reliable, high availability, secure and performant  distributed services in Python 
● You have experience with elastic search, kibana and grafana and are able to  make data accessible throughout multiple venues 
● Strong analytical skills 
● Experience with Numpy, pytest 
● You care about quality and know when and how to ship code safely 
● You have a solid understanding of system design, data structures 
● You know how to handle masses of data streams effectively and are able to  make the data available to all parties. 
● You love to experiment and use data to drive decision-making
