Sysadmin / DevOps/ Ops Engineer (offline)

Qualifications:
• 4+ in system administration, devops, and/or ops engineering
• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, Ubuntu preferred
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP
• Working knowledge of Docker, git, CI/CD processes
• Good understanding of networking, network protocols, and network connectivity
• Good understanding of monitoring, storage mangement, backup/restore, security, and automation best practices
• Advanced skills with bash scripting, python or other scripting language
A Plus:
• Experience setting up AWS or GCP environment from scratch
• Configuration automation using puppet, cfengine, etc
• Some web development skills for custom management/monitoring tool building
Responsibilities:
• Setup and Linux-based maintain dev, staging, and production environments with both baremetal and cloud services (mostly cloud)
• Maintain and improve CI/CD process (gitlab)
• Setup monitoring and alerting
• Harden and maintain system and network security
• Setup bulletproof backup and restore process
• Develop internal tools for simplifying and automating system monitoring and management
• Ensure use of up to date infrastructure technology, assist in system architecture decisions
