Strong middle/Senior Ruby on Rails developer (offline)
Requirements:
• 3-5 years experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails (Ruby 2.4.0 and Rails 5.0.7.2);
• Integration and unit testing (RSpec, vcr, Capybara);
• Experience with ElasticSearch or other search services;
• Experience in building APIs; integration of 3rd party systems;
• Database knowledge, preferably with relational and non-relational databases (Postgres);
• Experience creating and managing services in k8s, docker, docker-compose;
• Experience with the deployment of web applications.
As a plus:
• Experience with Sidekiq;
• Experience with AWS;
• Very good communication skills, high proficiency in English.

the project is Germany’s first and leading online portal for enforcing tenants’ rights. They lower rents with rent control law (Mietpreisbremse) and fend off rent increases and contract terminations. This portal differs from law firms as everything happens online, fast and without a cost risk.
As a Software engineer, you will lead the effort to model, build and automate complicated business processes in the legal space. You will, together with the team, be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of features and client’s expanding infrastructure. We expect you will apply your knowledge of building scalable web applications.
Tech stack is mainly on Ruby on Rails with a sprinkle of React, currently hosted on AWS and using CircleCI to run tests and power deployment. We practice continuous integration and deploy several times a day from the master. Pull requests get peer-reviewed before the merge.
