Mobion is a cloud-based white-label platform for ride-hailing and corporate transport services. Launched in 2016 by Devart, it supports operators in 6+ countries and has handled over 20 million rides for 4M+ users and 500K drivers.  

Our ecosystem includes rider and driver apps, a real-time dispatch system, admin dashboards, and branded web portals — all backed by a secure, scalable Azure infrastructure. We offer both SaaS and franchise models to help partners grow fast across regions. 
 

Your future team of professionals     

You will lead and work closely with the Mobion Backend Team, currently consisting of four Backend Developers. In this role, you will combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, helping the team make sound architectural decisions, improve engineering practices, and deliver reliable backend solutions.

• Balance continuous product delivery with gradual modernization of a complex production system.  
• Reduce technical debt and architectural coupling without disruptive rewrites.  
• Strengthen automated testing, observability, reliability, security, and CI/CD practices.  
• Lead technical change while aligning decisions across Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and Engineering teams. 
   

Impact you will make  

As Lead Backend Developer, you will take technical ownership of Mobion’s backend platform, combining hands-on development with architecture, engineering improvements, and team leadership. 

• Lead backend architecture and technical decision-making for the Mobion platform.  
• Combine hands-on Node.js/TypeScript development with technical leadership of the Backend Team.  
• Drive the gradual modernization of legacy components while maintaining platform stability and delivery speed.  
• Improve system performance, reliability, observability, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.  
• Mentor Backend Developers, support technical growth, and strengthen engineering standards across the team.  
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Software Architecture to turn business needs into scalable technical solutions. 
   

Skills we are looking for     

• 5+ years of hands-on backend product development experience with strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.  
• 2+ years of experience as a Team Lead or Tech Lead, combining hands-on development with technical leadership.  
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL/MySQL and Redis.  
• Experience designing and evolving distributed systems, REST/WebSocket APIs, and event-driven integrations.  
• Experience modernizing legacy systems through incremental refactoring, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.  
• Solid experience with cloud-native production environments, including Azure, Kubernetes, observability, reliability, and application security.  
• Experience driving technical improvements across architecture, code quality, and engineering practices, combined with strong mentoring and leadership skills. 
• Experience or strong practical interest in AI-assisted engineering and spec-driven development.  
• Experience with mobility, logistics, or transportation products is a plus.
