Chief Accountant (offline)

Requirements:

- Previous chief accountant experience or upper-level finance role
- Deep knowledge of accounting requirements in accordance with IFRS
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance law and risk management practices
- Experience working in a start-up environment
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
- Knowledge of English (at least upper-intermediate: spoken and written)
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus

Responsibilities:

- Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
- Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries
- Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines
- Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements
- Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions
- Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion
- Provide guidance to other Accountants when needed
- Assist in auditing activities by providing the necessary information and preparing requested documentations
- Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations
- Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures
