Full Stack Engineer (Python/ReactJS)

PROJECT: It is about developing groundbreaking technology designed to replace smartphones as the next evolution of personal computing. The company is assembling a team of world-class scientists, engineers, and designers to create a wearable device that allows users to communicate effortlessly by talking silently to it.

This device is envisioned as something people will put on first thing in the morning and wear all day, seamlessly integrating into their daily lives. The product is designed to be intuitive, thoughtfully crafted, and deeply human. The goal is to create a device that feels like a natural extension of the user, enhancing their interactions with technology in a way that is both discreet and powerful.
 

TEAM: main team in San-Francisco, few in Portugal and India;
 

STACK: TypeScript, React, Python, AWS;

PROJECT STAGE: live since 2021;

REQUIREMENTS:

• Built full-stack personal projects or contributed to open source (!send your best!);
• Care towards code quality and UX;
• MS or BS in computer science or related engineering field;
• Proficient in Python, React, AWS (or equivalent);
• Strong programming practices and high-throughput of code across the stack;
• Outstanding team player and communicator.
   

NICE TO HAVE:

• Low level systems hacking experience, parallel programming experience;
• Experience working on data pipelines for ML;
• Experience with audio, bio-signals, or NLP;
• Experience with data science, visualizations, and ML;

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build Wispr's software platform across devices;
• Iterate fast with user feedback to build sticky experiences;
• Setup best engineering practices (testing, abstractions, design docs);
• Build software for the latest Wispr hardware as it rolls off the press.
