Automation Python Engineer for AI Software Product

Simporter's AI-driven software automates new product research for Fortune 500s in FMCG and Fashion. Product company with a super friendly, young team, challenging tasks, awesome clients. We are looking for someone passionate about web scraping and eager to grow in a dynamic, data-driven environment!

We are a team of 30, mostly based in Ukraine and the United States with clients like Colgate, Danone, and JTI. Our software recommends new products to launch, forecasts sales for new products, and monitors social feedback to each product.

Responsibilities:

• Automation of Data Collection and Processing: Automate recurring tasks to guarantee continuous, up-to-date data collection and processing
• Automation of Internal Tools: Automate various internal tools and processes
• Database Management: Store and manage collected data in databases, ensuring easy access and efficient data retrieval for further use.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and optimize scraping scripts and systems to enhance performance, accuracy, and data integrity.
• Web Scraping Development & Maintenance: Design, build, and maintain web scraping scripts and tools to extract data from diverse online sources, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
   

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python
• Strong scripting skills for task automation
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Ability to process and structure data for clean, organized output.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
   

As a plus:

• Experience with GoogleCloud or other platforms
• Knowledge of scraping libraries and frameworks, such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, or Selenium
• Understanding of ML/AI approaches
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
