Android developer (Sweden) (offline)

We use both Java and Kotlin in our codebase. In collaboration with product department and other tech teams we offer an agile working environment where we collaborate tightly with business and products departments by means of mob - and pair programming. Among our tools one may find is Rx, GraphQL, Retrofit, Fastlane and Firebase. Currently, Android team consists of six developers from four countries who work in Stockholm and Gothenburg.

The Role:
This fall we will be rolling out a lot of new features. This includes major work in our existing apps and a totally new app. We are looking for a strong developer who can contribute with experience and code to help us reach our goals. Together with the team you will be responsible for the development and deliveries of TV4 Play and C More Android applications. The team is responsible for development of new features as well as maintenance and quality assurance of the existing apps. As an experienced developer you are expected to collaborate with the team, take responsibility for building big features and be able to be the spokesperson for the team in different projects. We are looking for someone with positive energy that can grasp the existing products and start contributing quickly. It is beneficial if you have worked with streaming video before.

- Writing clean, secure, scalable code in Java and Kotlin;
- A great interest and demonstrated strong knowledge of Android and Google domain;
- Insights in good software architecture and patterns;
- Engaged to bring the best experience to our customers;
- Actively collaborate with product department to clarify limitations and possibilities within the Android domain, test and take pragmatic decisions on ways ahead, optimizing for the best possible customer experience;

Preferred but not required
– knowledge of streaming domain and development experience of streaming applications.
