Python Data Collection (offline)

Summary
Simporter is looking to build its team with a core Data Engineer in Kyiv. We are searching for a creative, hard worker who identifies solutions instead of problems. This candidate should be ready to be challenged and rewarded. The company is early-stage but financially stable from multiple investments. Current clients include one of the top-3 largest retailers and ongoing conversations with multiple other Fortune 500s.

Responsibilities
— Automating Rest API requests and web scraping scripts on Jupyter to gather both struc-tured and unstructured data
— Analyzing textual data with Natural Language Processing to identify a product’s strengths and weaknesses as well as sentiment
— Cleaning and formatting data to required output (CSV files)

Required skills
— Product-focused mindset
— 2+ years proven experience with Python, Pandas and Numpy
— Ability to create unique web scraping programs to fit a variety of sites
— Preferred 1-2 years with BeautifulSoup (Selenium or a similar scraping tool is acceptable)
— Experience with Microsoft Azure, including basic knowledge of its micro-services
— Experience with state-of-the-art models in Natural Language Processing
— Ability to collaborate with a team
