Position overview:

As a Community Manager, your role will involve fostering a positive and engaging community environment across various channels such as social media, forums, and events. You will be responsible for engaging with users, responding to inquiries, and proactively initiating discussions to encourage community participation. Additionally, you will create and curate content that resonates with the community, manage content calendars, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging consistency.

 

Required skills:

  • Proven experience as a Community Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in managing online communities, forums, or groups.
  • Ability to handle crises and solve problems in a calm and professional manner.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track and measure community success.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Foster a positive and engaging community environment across all channels (social media, forums, events, etc.).
  • Engage with users, respond to inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proactively initiate discussions and activities that encourage community participation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase community size, engagement, and loyalty.
  • Content Creation and Management:
  • Create and curate content that resonates with the community (blogs, social posts, newsletters, etc.).
  • Manage and update community content calendars.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, content, and creative teams to ensure consistency in messaging.
  • Monitoring and Feedback:
  • Monitor community trends, topics, and conversations to understand user sentiment and interests.
  • Gather community feedback to identify improvement areas in products, services, or communication.
  • Track key metrics and KPIs (e.g., engagement rates, growth, satisfaction) to assess community health and report insights to internal teams.
  • Events and Campaigns:
  • Organize and manage both online and offline community events, including webinars, meetups, or product launches.
  • Plan and execute campaigns or initiatives to encourage user participation (contests, AMAs, etc.).
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams:
  • Work closely with customer support, marketing, and product teams to relay important community feedback.
  • Act as the liaison between the community and internal teams to ensure that user needs and concerns are being addressed.
  • Crisis Management:
  • Handle sensitive or escalated community issues and mitigate negative conversations or crises.
  • Develop community guidelines and moderation policies to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Track, measure, and analyze community engagement and growth metrics.
  • Provide regular reports and actionable insights based on community feedback and engagement levels.
