We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer with expertise in Python, particularly with Python 2.7 and 3.9. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the differences between these versions, including new capabilities, deprecated features, and optimization strategies. This role requires the ability to manage and convert hundreds of scripts, optimize script execution, and handle data management and test automation.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Python 2.7 and 3.9, including differences and capabilities.
• Manage the conversion of a large number of scripts, identifying and addressing overlaps in functionality.
• Optimize script execution, simplifying and streamlining processes.
• Automate test scripts and build test harnesses.
• Catalogue and manage scripts, identifying areas for simplification.
• Collaborate closely with team members, especially C# developers.
• Utilize generative AI tools like ChatGPT for test harnesses and automation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Python development.
• Proficiency in both Python 2.7 and 3.9.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Experience with C#.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale script conversions and optimizations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and independent thinking.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to drive projects forward with minimal direction.
• Experience in building automation and test harnesses.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools for automation is a plus.
