Fullstack Team Leader (Node, React Native, GCP) (offline)

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced full-stack development team lead to drive the technical vision and execution of our innovative dating app.

 As a key leader within our engineering team, you'll be responsible for hands-on development, mentoring a small but growing team, and ensuring our platform is scalable, reliable, and user-friendly. Your expertise in Node.js, React Native, DevOps (specifically GCP), and overall full-stack development will be instrumental in our success.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership:
  • Define and implement the technical architecture for our dating app across the full stack.
  • Establish development best practices, coding standards, and code review processes.
  • Guide the team in making technical decisions and solving complex problems.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and assess their potential for the app.
• Hands-On Development:
  • Contribute directly to the development of our core backend services using Node.js.
  • Build and maintain our mobile application using React Native.
  • Optimise application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Work closely with the product team to implement engaging user interfaces and experiences.
• DevOps (GCP):
  • Design and manage the infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and testing.
  • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues in production.
  • Ensure the security and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.
• Team Management:
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Assist in recruiting and onboarding new team members.

Qualifications:

• Essential:
  • Proven experience as a full-stack developer with expertise in Node.js and React Native.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and hands-on experience with GCP (or equivalent cloud platforms).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor development teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for building high-quality, user-centric applications.
• Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience in the dating app or social networking industry.
  • Familiarity with machine learning or recommendation systems.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
