Full-Stack Engineer (offline)

Looking for highly experienced FS to join the team and build the product from the conceptual stage to product launch (requirements, designs, stack is ready; 3 first dev sprints are behind).

A startup developing a product for the medical space, specifically for managing IVF (in vitro fertilization) clinics. The product aims to handle various workflows from patient intake to release, including embryology and testing. It's a small team of about 10 people, well-funded, and backed by experienced doctors in reproductive endocrinology. The project involves creating around 50 screens with varying complexity, from simple appointment scheduling to complex embryo storage management.

Current team is about 10 people. the dev team is led by CTO with 2 FS engineers and designer, communication is primarily in Slack.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer will own and manage both frontend (60%) and backend (40%) codebase;
• Influence key technology and product decisions to shape the company's product direction;
• Develop various parts of the application from the ground up, given the product's early stage;
• Focus on creating a performant and user-friendly software experience;
• Make quick, balanced decisions and adapt to new information, even if it means occasional mistakes;

• Take ownership of problems, coordinate across team members, and learn new skills to ensure project success.

   

Requirements:

• Strong expertise with TypeScript/JavaScript or other typed languages
• Expert in relational databases such as PostgreSQL and data model design
• Strong expertise with advanced JavaScript web frameworks such as React and NextJS
• Strong back-end experience, including: APIs, Performance, Authentication, and Security
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. You are proactive and take the initiative to steer the team in the right direction when you see opportunities
• Intuition for elegant product design and best-in-class UX
• Proficient in front and back-end test design
• You have created back-end workflows using tools such as temporal.io, airflow, etc.
• Solid CS fundamentals
• Familiarity applying pretrained AI models to specific domains
