Aivitam Ventures (the brand The Future)  is looking for a Program and Communication Manager (events) to join our growing events team. We have big plans to expand our events portfolio under the brand Forbes / Fortune in 2024 and beyond and we are assembling a creative, enthusiastic events team to help make that happen!

The Future is the media platform, backed by Forbes contributors, reporting on the world of technology and startups in Europe. 

 

Following the successful debut of our flagship events, the  Forbes CY The Future of Fintech Summit and Forbes CY 20 Woman in Tech Awards in Cyprus, Limassol in 2023, we are now strategically preparing for significant expansions and enhancements across our global events portfolio.

 

The Program and Communication Manager (events) will oversee the curation and delivery of the Forbes / Fortune product, contribute to shaping the agenda for the Summits, and take the lead in orchestrating exceptional networking experiences for our community comprising tech companies, startups, and investors.

 

The role

 

The Program and Communication Manager (events), reporting to the CEO and collaborating closely with the entire team, will spearhead the development of thought-provoking and top-tier agendas, while also taking the lead on community-building initiatives that The Future /  Forbes / Fortune can proudly showcase.

 

Responsibilities

  • Researching the most important tech and startup trends to build out impressive event agenda and virtual events that The Future audience — and clients — will love
  • Consulting with editorial and commercial teams to align on market trends, speakers, sponsorship opportunities, and must-have VIPs
  • Recruiting a diverse range of exciting speakers from across the World for The Future Online and Onsite Events
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with industry leaders, thought leaders, and experts and taking ownership of speaker acquisition and VIP invitations for Summits
  • Leading facilitated networking activations at The Future Summits and establishing a growing network of founders, operators, investors, and industry community groups

Requirements

Who we are looking for

 

This is a multi-faceted role in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need to be comfortable juggling different tasks and be able to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. You should be highly organised, a great communicator, and possess a can-do attitude. You should be a self-starter excited to develop The Future's growing event portfolio.

 

You are:

  • Preferably a past journalist who can take interviews and write articles
  • Proven experience in publishing articles in USA, Europe and Ukrainian media. Experience in creating special projects
  • Proven expertise in podcasts and video interviews
  • Proven experience as a programme manager for conferences
  • Experienced in writing and producing content-driven event agendas
  • Knowledge of working on sponsored events with an understanding of what sponsorship offers clients
  • Able to think independently and enjoy problem-solving
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time
  • Excited by the prospect of travelling to Europe to attend events

A minimum of two years of experience in media/events and a desire to develop a strong understanding of the European startup and tech ecosystem is a must.

Salary

Official contract dependent on experience, plus performance-related bonus
