Job Purpose:

Who We are looking for a practiced and proactive DevOps engineer to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining the infrastructure for our client-side applications. If you’re looking for an opportunity to work alongside a group of other smart people on large-scale client-side applications and be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure of one of the largest identity platforms in the world, keep reading.


Responsibilities:

Deploy and maintain infrastructure deployment tools
Issues troubleshooting for server/infrastructure/systems
Running and maintaining production infrastructure hosted on AWS
Building automated infrastructure and deployment processes
Work closely with development teams to ensure that platforms are designed with "operability" in mindset
Design cross-datacenter, worldwide high available and fault tolerant systems
Research, analyze and propose new technology solutions for infrastructure
Be responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of our internet-facing systems
Assist in the roll-out and deployment of new product features and installations to facilitate our rapid iteration and constant growth


Requirements:

Experience with cloud development tools in a CI/CD environment (Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker, Vagrant, etc.)
Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.)
Experience with asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS)
General networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, NTP, IPSEC, DHCP, etc.
Configuration management tools such as Puppet, Salt, Chef, Ansible, etc.
Experience with AWS Services, including EC2, EBS, VPC’s, and RDS
Hands on experience with Linux systems administration
Maven or similar build systems (ant, rake, gradle, etc.)
Web servers and containers such as Apache, Tomcat, NGINX, and others
Relational databases like MySQL, Postgresql (understanding replication solutions, basic DBA skills)
Monitoring systems: Nagios, Zabbix, DataDog, Amazon CloudWatch
ELK-stack(ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana)
Search Engine: ElasticSearch (Solr)
Programming/Scripting BASH, Python
Basic IP networking knowledge: Subnets, routing, CIDR


Soft Skills:

Experience troubleshooting performance and outage issues quickly and accurately
Ability to learn quickly and independently in a complex technical environment
Self-directed and capable of working in a fast paced environment
Good organization and communication skills and a strong customer service mindset
Experience building applications to achieve high performance and scalability
