System Administrator

We are Bahnhof one of the biggest internet service providers in Sweden and beyond. Not only that, we provide much more to our customers: VPN, IP Telephony, Cloud services etc.

We are looking to hire a system administrator who will extend and enrich our team with skills and knowledge.

 

Required qualifications:

 

- Linux systems administration, particularly Ubuntu and RHEL/CentOS.

- GitLab CI/CD.

- Docker and/or container runtimes.

- System capacity/performance analysis and optimization.

- Linux KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) virtualization.

- Basic VLAN-based networking.

- Understanding of basic system security and patching.

- Knowledge of at least 1 scripting language (Bash, Perl/Python, etc).

- Experience with software deployment automation

- Strong troubleshooting skills.

 

Will be considered a plus:

- Experience of building and/or maintaining private clouds, preferably Linux-based.

- Experience with Openstack cloud computing platform and CEPH software storage platform.

- Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration system.

- Experience with Terraform and Ansible provisioning and configuration management tools.

- Experience with VMWare vSphere and OnApp cloud computing platforms.

Responsibilities include:

 

- Support and maintain the existing software development and CI/CD infrastructure.

- Support and maintain cloud applications and related services in their development, preproduction and production environments.

- Take on cloud-related projects in cooperation with technical and development departments as may be necessary.

- Assist the development department with cloud applications troubleshooting and integration.

Monitor and maintain the integrity and security of the infrastructure, its underlying hardware and network in cooperation with the technical department.

- Support and maintain the existing Openstack cloud infrastructure and CEPH storage cluster, help expanding the infrastructure as required.
