Full Stack Software Engineer

We’re looking for an engineer to join our team, someone that can understand complex systems, manage a workload independently, deliver high quality solutions and participate as part of a distributed team. You’ll join a first-in-class team of engineers, designers and product managers that quickly deliver highly scalable compelling features to Tripadvisor’s 400+ million monthly visitors using an array of cutting-edge technologies.

As a Software Engineer II, you’ll help us:

- build our front-ends in Typescript, React/Vue and GraphQL.

- build our microservices in Java, Kotlin and NodeJS.

- CI/CD to proprietary and cloud data centres.

- operate, monitor and support our capabilities using Grafana, Prometheus.

- work alongside product managers, UX designers and content creators to optimize the customer experience.

-continuously improve via rigorous experimentation using our home-grown platform.

Requirements for:

- 3+ years’ experience in commercial software development with relevant experience in Typescript, React/Vue, GraphQL and Java.

- You have designed and coded complex user interfaces and microservice endpoints.

- You’ve been responsible for troubleshooting and triaging production issues.

- You look forward to showing new engineers the ropes, and helping them improve their craft via mentoring and careful code reviews.
