Data Engineer

SOLEAD Software is looking for an experienced data engineer to join our seasoned team for a new project to build a scalable data platform for information management industry.

The data platform should aggregate various datasets from existing on-premise and cloud-based systems (custom .NET based toolset, CRM system, HR management tool, and accounting software) via ETL jobs and data pipelines.

The data platform should introduce and support Master Data Management practices, and provide a centralized data catalogue for core company data entities with single-place storing, updating and distributing to all systems.

The data platform should provide the collected data for processing, visualization and reporting in dedicated BI tools (MS Power BI and others). The data platform should serve business reporting needs of all company departments.

Currently, Solead’s team consists of six professionals tightly collaborating with remote teams in Europe and USA. Agile development process assumes regular online communication via MS Teams, all-team teleconferences twice per week, daily code commits and weekly releases. The development process is based on GitLab environment with very high attention to code quality and documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of a scalable data platform for information management industry

• Creation of ETL jobs and data pipelines to ingest data from multiple existing systems

• Implementation of master data catalogue for core company data entities

• Data processing, visualization and reporting in dedicated BI tools

• Deep collaboration with the architecture, development and support teams

• Participation in Agile process, team meetings, brainstorming, etc.

• Following project practices, conventions and standards

Skills and Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in computer science, applied math, or similar

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering field and related projects

• Expertise in SQL database design and programming

• Understanding of Data Lake, Data Warehouse і Data Mart storages

• Practical experience with ETL and data pipelines technics

• Knowledge of MS Power BI software

• .NET and Azure programming skills is a plus

• Git/GitLab/GitHub working experience is a plus

• Agile process knowledge and practice

• B2+ English communication skills

This is a half-time to full-time long-term position in Lviv, Ukraine. We combine work in our modern and spacious office with work at home.
