Financial Accountant (Hybrid setup - Athens)

We are seeking an experienced financial accountant to join our Finance Team in Athens, Greece.

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to, gathering and monitoring financial data, bookkeeping, and providing support for the preparation of financial statements and other FP&A requirements.

-Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
-Preparing and monitoring budgets and cash flows in accordance with the group company's cost centers, policies, and approval processes.
-Performing general ledger (GL) reconciliations and supporting month-end closing procedures.
-Staying current with financial policies, practices, and regulations.
-Conducting manual GL postings for bank transactions and other bookkeeping tasks if required.
-Providing ad hoc support and project assistance relevant to own area of expertise.

Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, etc.). A post-graduate degree or professional qualification will be considered an asset.
-Working knowledge in international reporting standards and Greek GAAP.
-Familiarity with Mydata requirements.
-Knowledge of ERP Accounting Software, such as Softone ERP (experience with NetSuite or Oracle considered a plus).
-Minimum of 3 years of previous working experience in an accounting or finance department (experience in a Software Company is considered a plus).
-Fluency in Greek and English, both written and verbal.
Integrity to ensure full compliance with external and internal laws and regulations.
-Understanding of local tax laws and regulations, as well as a strong grasp of international tax rules and transfer pricing practices and policies.
-Strong communication skills, with an open and proactive approach to interacting in a professional and productive manner to build and maintain business relations with key stakeholders.
-Proficiency in project and change management.
-Analytical thinking skills and a passion for delivering excellent results.
