RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure all operational services maintain reliable uptime, guaranteeing the availability and reliability of our web infrastructure. Achieve a service restoration time of under an hour in case of outages or performance degradations to showcase rapid recovery capabilities.
Strive for a high frequency of successful deployments, targeting multiple deployments per day to facilitate continuous improvement and agility. Ensure the time from code commit to code running successfully in production is minimized, enhancing our ability to rapidly deliver new features and fixes.
Maintain automated test coverage to promote high standards of quality, supporting efficient continuous integration workflows. Ensure a low change failure rate to indicate stability and reliability in our deployment processes.
Conduct all infrastructure provisioning and management using IaC practices to improve consistency and scalability across our systems.
Attain compliance with established security policies, ensuring no high or critical security vulnerabilities remain unaddressed. This includes adhering to systems and operations standards and best practices to ensure consistent and reliable application performance.
Meet or exceed performance benchmarks, including maintaining optimal server response times to ensure a superior user experience. Proficiently manage server infrastructure with a focus on automation to make operations tasks efficient and repeatable.
Develop and implement a comprehensive monitoring and logging system that includes all aspects of the infrastructure, with strategically configured alerts to facilitate proactive issue management.
Optimize resource usage to ensure capacity is utilized effectively under typical conditions, providing sufficient headroom for unexpected traffic surges and scalability needs.
Engage actively in continuous learning and improvement strategies to keep up with the latest DevOps methodologies and tools. Flexibly contribute to various projects or roles as needed, adapting to the dynamic requirements of the team and the organization.
Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to cross-functional strategy sessions to align operations with organizational objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields is preferable. Equivalent experience in DevOps roles may also be accepted.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and CRM (Zoho).
Version Control: Extensive experience with version control systems, particularly Git, for collaborative development and code management.
Scripting and Automation: Advanced scripting abilities in languages such as Laravel, React.js, vue.js, and Node.Js to create efficient automation solutions and contribute in development projects.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment: Demonstrated experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software deployment.
Monitoring and System Management: Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and log management solutions (ELK stack) to ensure proactive system management.
Security Fundamentals: Knowledge of security protocols, including network security, access controls, and secure coding practices.
Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills, capable of addressing and mitigating complex system issues.
Communication: Excellent communication abilities for effective teamwork, clear documentation, and stakeholder interactions.
Detail-Oriented: A meticulous approach to operations, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
Adaptability: An aptitude for quickly mastering new technologies and adapting to evolving operational requirements.
Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
Front-end Technologies: Knowledge of front-end frameworks, specifically Vue.js and the Quasar framework, to understand and participate in the development environment.
