EsoftHall Greece invites a skilled and dynamic DB Administrator to join our software development department. The software development department is responsible for the continuous development and improvement of platform functionalities and internal management tools.

What you’ll do:

• Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role.

• Design and implement database in accordance to end user’s information needs and views.

• Defining users and enabling data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner

• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.

• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.

• Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.

• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.

• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.

• Work with the information security team to maintain security, access rights, and compliance of the databases.

• Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.

• Implement and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies.

• Liaising with programmers, applications/operational staff, IT project managers and other technical staff.

• Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines as needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of proven working experience as a Database Administrator.

• 3+ years of experience in the following DB engines: MongoDB, MySQL

• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

• Good knowledge of Linux and Windows systems

• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements.

• Proficient understanding of DB tuning.

• Ability to communicate effectively and be a good team player.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines as needed.
