Position: Head of Platforms
Location: Kyiv, UA/Remote
Team: ~35 FTE
Position Summary:
This role entails leading a team where development speed is not just a
metric but a commitment. The Bank is seeking an experienced leader
whose mission is to ensure maximum development efficiency, reducing the time from code in Dev to a minimum of 15 minutes, a leader with a
passion for driving innovation and has a proven track record in managing
high-performance teams.
• AVALaunch - the engine of our innovations. Your goal is to make it
even more powerful, ensuring outstanding performance and rapid deployment of changes. We migrated the bank to the cloud in a record 3 months, and your role is to accelerate this process even
further.
• GitOps - our standard. Your strategy for implementing GitOps and
managing CI/CD for over 1000 microservices is aimed at achieving
the goal - changes reflected in Dev within 15 minutes.
• GitHub - our platform for swift deployment. Under your leadership,
GitHub has become the center of innovation, supporting high-
speed changes in over 2000 repositories.
• Open Technologies - our fuel. Your commitment to open technologies gives us unlimited opportunities to accelerate development.
• Financial Efficiency - your standard. Your leadership in FinOps aims
to ensure optimal resource utilization to support high performance.
Opsgenie - your on-call management tool. Your operational management strategy aims to minimize response time to any calls.
• Security - at your pace. Your innovations in security ensure a fast yet reliable development process.

Pivotal Experience & Expertise and Leadership Capabilities:
Proven experience in a technical leadership role.
• Extensive development background.
• Successful management experience, leading teams of around 35
individuals.
• Strong commitment to open-source principles.
• Exceptional knowledge and proficiency in Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms.
• Expertise in GitOps, DevOps, and SRE practices.
• Previous experience with on-call duty management.
• Languages: Ukrainian (Fluent), English (Upper-Intermediate
(B2)/Advanced (C1).

Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
• Providing visionary technical leadership, setting the direction for the evolution of our infrastructure platforms.
• Driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, ensuring the team stays at the forefront of industry advancements.
Development Experience
• Leveraging your strong development background to guide the team in building robust and scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborating with software developers to integrate infrastructure needs into the development process.
People Management
• Leading and inspiring a team of approximately 35 professionals, including Network Reliability Engineers, Platforms Engineers, Database Reliability Engineers, and Classical Operations personnel.
• Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous
improvement within the team.
OpenSource Advocacy
• Maintaining a strict focus on open-source technologies, promoting
their use and contributing to the open-source community.
• Ensuring that the team is aligned with the principles and practices
of open-source development.
Kubernetes Mastery
• Demonstrating exceptional knowledge and expertise in Kubernetes,
steering the team towards efficient orchestration and management
of containerized applications.
Public Cloud Expertise
• Utilizing your experience with public cloud platforms to optimize our cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
GitOps
• Driving the GitOps methodology across the organization, ensuring
seamless and automated delivery of changes, aligning with the goal of achieving changes from the local machine to dev in under
15 minutes.
DevOps and SRE Practices
• Champion DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices,
optimizing processes to enhance development speed, reliability, and efficiency.
