System Security Engineer

Playtech’s Security unit is looking for a passionate System Security Engineer, who will work as part of one of two System Security Teams within the Security Department.

Job Description

Your influential mission. You will...
- Design, implement and support various security technologies, controls, and tools
- Be assessing and ensuring Linux Systems are Hardened and Configured according to prescribed Security Baselines.
- Be collaborating with various teams within the business to assess systems in use and provide recommendations.
- Support and Maintain the Client Based Proxy Solution and Web Gateways in the environment (Making sure they are configured according to best practice, updated regularly, whitelist/blocklists are up to date etc).
- Participate and support security risk assessments, audits, and compliance requirements (ISO27001, PCI, GDPR, etc.).

Qualifications

Components for success. You...
- Have 3 or more years working experience in the field of Security or in a related role
- Have experience with various Linux distributions and/or the MacOS Ecosystem, additional experience in hardening and auditing Linux gets you extra points.
- Have experience with EPP/EDR solutions (Defender XDR, Crowdstrike, SentinelOne etc).
- Have hands on Experience with Web Proxies and/or Host Based Proxies is important (Mcafee Web Gateways, Trellix Skyhigh, Squid Proxy etc).
- Are passionate about Email Security Solutions (Forcepoint, Mimecast, IronScales, Defender for Office 365 etc)
- Have strong self-education skills, striving to learn new technologies, tools and methodologies and staying up to date with most recent security capabilities.
- Have strong soft skills — ability to collaborate with various infrastructure teams (o/s, networking, storage, db etc.) and help them understand the importance of security, and providing guidance on security topics, relevant to their area of responsibility.
