DevOps Lead Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Lead Engineer to lead our DevOps team and drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our DevOps practices. As a key member of our technology leadership team, the DevOps Lead Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing our software development lifecycle, ensuring seamless collaboration between development and operations teams, and optimizing our infrastructure for efficiency and scalability.

What you will do
Provide strategic leadership in the design and implementation of DevOps processes and practices
Collaborate with executive leadership to align DevOps initiatives with overall business objectives
Develop and communicate a clear vision for the DevOps team and its contributions to the organization
Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and support professional development
Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure DevOps solutions that meet current and future organizational needs
Oversee the integration of automation tools and technologies to streamline development and deployment processes
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable delivery of software
Ensure the automation of testing, deployment, and monitoring processes to minimize manual intervention
Optimize cloud and on-premises infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to enable consistent and repeatable infrastructure deployments
Establish and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure
Develop incident response plans and lead the response to critical incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on users


Your profile
Bachelor's or an advanced degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
Proven experience (5 years) in a DevOps leadership role with a track record of successful implementation of DevOps practices
Agile/Scrum mindset
Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong background in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Shell, Ansible)
In-depth knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)
Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform) and configuration management tools
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
